So guys and gals, how far from bottom of the plant have you set your scrog net? I've seen two methods: one is setting net 20-30 cm above pot, the other sample is setting net around 80-90 cm above pot. Pros and cons of each method? Also, I see different space between net: one like 5x5 cm, other like 20x20 cm. Any specific reason for this?

Maybe master of scrog @db003 help with some tutorial how to properly scrog autos and when to stop training? Or someone other, welcome!

Scrog net placement for me depends on strain. If they can be manipulated heavily, the net goes on top of canopy to split the main branches into sections. I've also had em be uncooperative, so in that instance the scrog is just used to stop colas from leaning sideways and placed higher up.

I don't quite understand that "manipulated heavily" - what do you mean with that? Bigger strains by nature like XXL autos?

Nature of stalk. Are the stalks flexible and soft enough that they will conform to your manipulation or are they rigid and much more likely to snap with pressure? Which kind of stalk will help determine how low the net sits.
