Hey guys! was curious if you all had any thoughts on why only my back two plants seem to be going astray... I just cleaned the trays out and had some pebbles stuck on the upper valve on the top left plant.

Also should mention, I accidentally let my res go for 3 weeks before changing it...

Now we are at a stable 5.8 PH and 1.4EC feed and they seem to be doing kinda better.. but wondering how long I should wait before I begin to suspect something else
perhaps?

Here is all four for reference.

Top left looks like she got waterlogged for a while, which is consistent with the upper valve being stuck open. If the upper valve does not seal, the lower valve will flood the tray again before the water is fully used up. Now that the valve is operating better, things might sort themselves if roots are not damaged. It is a good idea to keep the valve areas of the trays really clean. The valves work well with clean input liquid, but they do not seal well if the valve surface is contaminated or free movement of the floats is interfered with.

5.8 sounds low to me. Why are you running at this pH? I run my SS#4 which is similar at ~6.2-6.4.

I am not sure whether the color in your photos is representative or not, but if it is, they look a tad hungry or locked out to me.

You might shift your question over to the infirmary and fill out the form to get some more expert input. You may have more going on than malfunction of the valve(s).

I second what oldfart said. Ask infirmary for assistance. That is the best way to get a trusted answer.
