Grow Mediums Autopot res. questions

Weeks away from first ever grow!

I've read just about ever post here and blown away by this setup. I've decided on coco from the start, but been battling over smart pots, and now Im completely sold with getting this!

Purchasing - 4 pot (4gal pots) 47l tank, pump for res, autopot

Tent : 2x4x7'
Lights : Led (Solstrip) 300w from draw from the wall
Nutrients : Remo
Plants : 2 plants

So I have no issues watering by hand for the first few weeks to establish a good root foundation.

Here is my question :

If the flower stage is on say week 4 and I have my nutrients in the rest (say 10litre left), and at the start of week 5 the nutrients say to increase only certain nutrients do you empty what you have in the res and start fresh?

I guess the same thing applies going from Veg -> Flower. Dump and start fresh?

Here is an example of the feed schedule. I won't be following the exact dosage unless my plants are asking for it.

Personally I never dump my nutes. I just add the new mix to the old and consider it a transitional batch. Of course I only add enough for a week at a time so I rarely have much left when time to switch.

Works for me! Hopefully after a few grows ill figure it all out and do my best to estimate how thirsty they are and plan accordingly.

Heck. Even if I do add onto it, worse case is I learn something from it.

Two plants I wouldn't put more than a couple gallons at a time in res myself only time I put more is if I'm gonna be away a few days but like Hymisync said I just add to what's in there and if you want to change nutes you don't have much to waist either !!!

I just ran one plant/one autopot this last grow.
I use a 5 gallon pail to fill the res and I make 4 gallon batches from late veg through harvest (when they are really drinking hard). Four gal usually lasted my one plant about 5 days give or take a day or two.
Point is, 4 gallons is all I ever add and like @HemiSync I add to the existing unless its a "clean out" week which I do every 5-6 weeks.

I run 4 pots in a 4x4 tent. Around day 20 is when I turn on the res and I don't empty when transitioning over into bloom just try to time it when res is low for the next fill. Normally a full res 10-12 gallons will last me about a week in flower in veg I might get about 10 days.

Awesome! I'll be sure to start with smaller batches till I can figure it all out.

"clean out" would be consider when she's starting to flower, and when flushing correct?

This really helps out with figuring out the cost of nutrients for me also, which seems to line up with what I've read about Remo nutrients is about 4 plants a kit.

Are you guys adjusting ph in the rez through the week or noticing any drift? I'm using AN 3Part PH Perfect and putting it in at 6.2. It steadily rises as high as 7.45 before the end of the week....ive been chasing it down midweek but do I need to bother?

I just use megacrop and sit back and laugh and laugh at all the peasants using 3-4 bottle nutrient combos.
