I started with a donated tent, lights, fans, seeds. all from a setup I found out bought about 6 years ago. Few of the seeds, NYC Diesel turned out ok, got 1/4lb each plant but the rest don't seem to be flowering. Got pre-flower pistols, but seem stuck there.

Could they just be from being an old, not so stable seed yet, seeing as they are at least 6 years old, and that's when they were bought online, who knows how long they were before that.

Since 2 budded to full bud, dried, smoke and others haven't, I assume maybe they're just not going to flower. I was going to pull them and start over, but having 8 plants seems like I may be better trying 12/12. If I switched to 12/12, how quick would I see fuzzy heads tops to know I'm heading into full flower mode? I'm willing to give them all another week or reprieve, but not much more. Rather start another batch of seeds and write these ones off as just bad genetics from an early, early auto-strain. What I did get, is nice, smokes nice, full sativa head buzz, but my perputal garden plans are going away quick and dependence on street dealers to buy from. My 1/2 lb won't last forever so I need to get these going, if possible. Some are probably a couple months old and just pre-flowers still, and most still growing vert, so are they stuck in non-auto-mode? I gave them a 24/7 blackout, seeded to get some of the pistols coming, but then stopped there.

thanks. I'll try giving 12/12 a shot. Being old seeds, hoping just the auto genetic wasn't stable 6 years ago in this strain. Wasted 2 months in the tent, rather get them to flower 12/12 if I can than trash the whole crop and start over. Have a pack of Jack Herer's waiting to go.

Just a quick thought.
I had one that wouldn't change too, I got desperate and supercropped, lst'd, cut some lower branches off and about a week later, she flowered.
Don't know if that kicked her into survival mode or what.
Not saying it worked but I ended up getting good smoke from her.
What do you got to lose if your thinking of yanking them.
good luck

I to have one autoultimate that is 7 weeks old and not budding shooting long fat calyx with long hairs (pre-flowers) at every node tried a week of 12n12 but it didn't do Shit. My photo has been on 12n12 for a week as well and it has popcorn buds every where so I don't think it's a photo so it just has to be a slow budding genetic screw up. She's a beast at 2 1/2 feet high and just as wide and God willing when she does start budding it's going to be insane. I think I'm going to try to trim it up a little on the bottom as the oldcoot suggested not sure about messing with the top but definitely trimming the bottom some of the leafs and shoots will never get light unless I add a bunch more side lights (using 260wattscfls) but she's so F'n big it's ridiculous. Im not giving up on my baby beast yet though she is obviously a female and I never seen a female plant not produce some kind of bud. That's where I'm at with my 7 week old autoultimate by Dutch passion from herbies seeds. Good luck to u and ur girls my friend. Post any updates u have I'm very interested in seeing if your auto flowers for u and how long it takes

read my thread- auto I tried to stop growing- in the gen. thread. This was the plant I butchered and I'm actually still smoking it.
its my wife's fav. and one of my top fav's too.
Still learning myself every grow. amazing plants they are !

They are all flowering like mad now. Some are so coated in crystal, they look like they are coated in sugar. Even the big fan leaves are growing trichomes.

The plants were growing for almost 3 months with no flowering until I flipped them, now 3 weeks and they are looking amazing.
