Hello everyone. i apologize if this has already been posted or asked about but i couldnt find anything. recently i pollinated 1 branch on my auto Timberline from newbreedseed.com with a BC Northern Lights male. I have spoken with a couple people and have heard different answers.

will these first generation Timberline x northern lights seeds be auto or photoperiod plants.

also, if they do end up being photoperiod, is there a way to breed a male with a female and bring back the autoflowering trait.

i am somewhat new to growing cannabis, and even newer to autoflowering strains. just want to know what i should expect.

There's a lot to it...Im struggling thru, but believe the first generation should provide about 25% auto. There's threads over in the breeders forum that'll give you a direction of what to cross from there!

Check out my small article located in the breeders guidelines corner here on afn that will explain everything you’re asking!

I think the first round of seeds will produce photoperiod seeds second round roughly 25% them if you take 2 autoflowering and cross those to get full auto I think.

Exactly! The first round will be photo dependent. Then take a male and female from that breeding and breed them together after they’ve bred seeds you’ll take those and plant quite a few under a 18/6 life cycle and leave it at that. Now most autos begin to flower at 3-4 weeks so with that said watch around that time frame for which ones autoflower now take a male and female from that breed and boom you’ve successfully brought back the autoflower gene.
