I'm attempting to turn my auto(which is probably not an auto) by giving it 12/12 light by carrying it to a dark closet for half the day. It seems to be working, but now my dilemma is that when it goes into flower, am I able to put it back under 20/4 with my other plant? Anybody have any experience with this?

If it's not a true auto and a photo plant, putting it back to 20/4 will not be the best for it,but if it continues to flower it just may be a stuburn auto and might make it.

I just put a plant in 12/12 yesterday to see if it will kick start the flowering. If it works, I may go back to my normal light schedule to see how it reacts. It's a sizeable plant so I'd rather not dump it. My past couple of grows have been problematic with my seed stock, the like of which I have never encountered before. I've had back to back multiple germ problems too. Time for fresh seeds.

Let me know how you make out @AutoWonders I'm planning to do the same thing with putting her back into 20/4. Fingers crossed!

Update:

It's doing better for sure with 12/12 at this early point. It seems to be a photo plant and I will have to put her back in with other plants when it forms flowers because I need the space it's in now. Who knows, maybe it will make it.

Update: 2

Plant is forming nice buds now, so it's back to the main tent tomorrow. Curious to see how it will perform under constant light. Had to use flowering mode in the 2x2 tent because the plant it is too tall and I didn't want to add to any possible problems with full spectrum. The plant is quite large.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Seems to be a photo and will more thank likely have to run her under 20/4 after she forms a stronger bud base. Keep me posted on how you make out.

If it's not an auto it will revert back to vegitive state. I can post a pic later of some Jack herer that started to flower and is now back to veg. Weird looking plants....

I just saw one about 3weeks ago it was a buddy's Cherry AK. It had like pinball size buds all over but was vegging new growth it was strange but pretty cool.

Mine turned out to be a photoperiod plant and it's been back to constant light for a while now and is just fine. I will have to get used to the longer grow parameter, but it should be a very acceptable yield.
