yeah I let mine happen naturally I do not mess with trying help it shed its shell, it only causes issues with the plants.. I learned that a long time ago to leave things alone and let nature do its own thing.. another reason for not putting them into coco too soon is I want to make sure they doing good before set... over 1/2" tap root or larger usually good sign that your off to a good start, I don't stick into coco until tap is at least 1/2 not counting shell, just tap root only..besides this is test grow for me, so messing with plants does not help... For me I do not want my plants stressed in any way that starts with tap root...

the shell still stuck on my duurty magic's I keep spraying them, that is all I will do to help remove shell keep it moist & soft so plant can push it off all by herself......my dragon queens still just the two, them between 3/8" & 1/2" long tap roots they will go in coco today and set in dark until break ground then under led in tent with the duurty's, and wait for the magic to happen ;)

imo if you have strong enough plant, the shell will not need your help to come off, other then little spraying to keep it moist & soft..

lots of time, people not let seeds run against anything as they growing up to help them push the shell off, in coco thats huge advantage since I can completely bury it and keep adding more until it gets pushed off, hydro I would think is slightly more tricky I think in hydro I'd be waiting until 3/4 inch long tap root... I probably could stuck my 1/4 inch tap root in yesterday, but today it's doubled in size so that should help me out some..I do feel better knowing it doubled in one day, I can say they them two very viable, doubling everyday. same with duurty's them break ground yesterday and little over 3/8" to 1/2" sticking out of coco now, so not bad at all...

I will still get pics up as soon as shell has shed, really nothing to see yet TBH...
