So I purchased a ten pack of fem auto white rhinos from www.marijuana-seeds.nl a while back. I have ran these plants on 20/4 the entire grow. I use DWC with an 18 gallon res. It seemed like my plants vegged for about 3 weeks and began to flower. They are now on their 4th week of flowering nutes. These things are no joke 44-46 inches! It seems to me like their kinda of a mix between auto and regular. My question is should I be dropping these down to say maybe 16/8? The are producing buds but don't seem as big as other auto's at week 4. Does anyone think these will end up taking like 8 weeks to finish flower? I sure hope not. Well anyway thanks for taking the time to look.

:smokebuds:I would not reduce light hrs.Your girls look great ,just keep on giving them flower nutes and keep your ph under control and they should be fine. And yes they might take longer to finish flowering because they rarely finish when the seed companys say they will, none of mine did. Good luck, and good smoke.

Thanks man! Just looking for some reassurance. I'll take some better (more detailed) pics tonight when the HPS is off. Has anyone else ever heard of autos getting 4 feet tall? Think I will yield like a normal plant?

welcome to AFN!

The leaves look great but some picks with a normal light would be much better. A few suggestions.... use the search bar at the top right to find a grow journal that could answer your question. In your case, after I looked up ¨white Rhino¨ I found a great grow journal by an experienced grower.

from the looks of it, she spent 13 weeks from seed. So check the end of her grow and maybe you can find out what to expect from where your at.

Happy growing!

I'd watch that LED you have on the floor pointing upwards, the fans will not be able to distribute the warm air on the floor and it could cause over heating issues mate

i hear lighting the undersides of the leaves causes them to stretch too. they do look a bit stretchy
could be nonsense though.

is that 80% RH ? in flower mode rumor has it that we should drop from 75-80 to 55-60 RH.

I just caught that...

DWC always seems to grow bigger plants, especially in a large res like yours. More roots, bigger plant. You may also have had your lights a bit too high above the plants, causing them to stretch a bit more. Node spacing of about 1" is ideal.

Even though you saw flowers at 3 weeks, those were only pre flowers. Full flowering doesn't start till vertical growth stops, usually around week 5 or 6. Then about 6 weeks of full flowering, so 11 or 12 weeks total. This should give you a better idea of what to expect. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html
