In Jan. of 1971, my gf and I ( we were 18 then ) took a trip to Boston for the weekend, just for something to do. never been to a big city. So, we were wandering the streets and riding the subway, when we happened upon a theater. The billboard said: HAIR! Now Playing! We said cool! and went in to buy tickets. We stood in line for about 30 minutes. I got to the window and said: 2 tickets for tonight's show, paid and as I walked away, I heard the lady say to the next person: " Sorry, we are all sold out till June!
And.........it was opening night and it was the most awesome play I've ever seen! The NYC company had nothing on this cast!
That was 45 years ago, and I remember it like it was yesterday!
