This has been on my list for a long time.. This thread will be used to document my success and struggles. As i try to auto the Okanogan BC Purple Kush clone.

This purple kush is some of the best smoke i have ever had the pleasure to smoke. I can not put it into words how good it is, so i won't here is a shot of what the clone mom produces.

I have been growing allot fo different varieties of auto, to find what i need to start the cross. After many many phenos and testing....I am going to start the cross with 2 different autos. One being wiz's ALF#3's, Also going to use some pollen from ICU#2 bud bomb pheno, once i IBL it a bit.

Why not use auto hindu kush?
I can't trust the source, too many reports of fruity tastes.
I want to best preserve that skunky/hazey/coffee beans smelling goodness of the Pk.
ALF#3 Best represents what i am looking for in the smells, but it carries ALLOT of color. My goal isn't color, my end goal is a potent auto that best represents the PK clone mom.

I will be getting clones in aug to work with. But in the mean time i am going through some S1's i made a couple years ago, when i wanted to preserve SOMETHING of this amazing plant. Just encase some thing happened. And it did.
If i find some thing better than mom i will probably use it, but for the most part i am using the S1's to see what is in the PK line to look out for, when i get to my F3's.

Yes yes yes it is the best ever!!!!!!! The first time I smoked pk was when I was in LA. Bailer I am along for the ride to the end and the first in line to get seeds when your done and they are available!!!!!!! Yes yes yes thank u bailer

Cheers you know the PK!!! Strong stuff for sure. Little to no tolerance build up. Well grown PK gets you there every time.

ALF#3 = Afghani little fuck. The # is the number of times an afghan line was introduced into the line. ALF#3 is what 16.. or more generations away from lowryder. Really lemony skunky smell. Plus it gets amber trichs.. Which is extremely important in starting a quality auto cross.

This auto is as close as i can find to a real afghan in auto form. So it is the natural choice to start the cross.

ICU#2 = Intensive Care Unit the # is just a code # for wiz to keep track of what is what. Since there is a ICU#1 that is different. ICU#2 Is MossyJEM F7(i think F7 ) X Auto White Russian F9
This one i am going to do a separate cross of it to the PK. Only because the yield i got was GREAT.. Plus it had a certain skunky cat piss smell that might meld well with the PK.

I am trying to use an auto as close to heritage to the clone only as i can. Also an auto that is as far from LR#1 as i can find. These i feel will give me my best chance to capture the PK intact. We'll see though.

Dude you know i am here for the ride on this one, ever since you started telling me about this it has made my mouth water.
The color i see on the S1's show that it is something special. Then there is the bud shots that you have posted time to time.
I think that the ALF is the best bet for the cross although that Bomb was nice and dense and i think you told me you had a PK throw football sized buds right?
imagine that fantisy meld.....

Wish we had scratch and sniff screens...I could get a lot better idea of which would be Best Match if I could Smell that bud....

ALF#3 Best represents what i am looking for in the smells, but it carries ALLOT of color.

ALF carries a lot Less Fruity Smelling colours than JEM...they go more towards the Affy smell..it neutralises the fruit..sugar..smells.

Both have the WHITE Russian in...so it would be possible to pull the White dom up..
probably easier with the ICU..less Blended.

But..I would be careful about eliminating the colour..because IMO..the colour is the Kush Dom indicator.

I'd bemoreinclined to use High purples as the Kush dom indicator..for the initial cross..
then give the Girls the Growing conditions that Don't Trigger it...

Alway nice to have an alternate view..Huh...or three....or four...ha ha...:dance2:

Word! dude! I'll definetly be following this... never had the priveledge of trying the PK.. but sounds killer... never realized moss master had put a white russian line in there... that explains the ICU...

I love when you guys talk about the gentic lines... great insight for me!
