Thanks Antony for the post...i am intrigued now about having some of that lovely effect...cheers dude

Tomorrow is beginning of fourth week....added 45 watt 6500k side lighting (see picture)...turn planter quarter turn twice a day...still one table spoon big bloom per gallon and then added 1/3 strength grow big big from fox farms in the last feed...but i doubt i have fed the plant a whole gallon in last couple weeks...i am adding water directly into the solo cup that the plant is in ..with the bottom cut off of course...I am not watering outside the solo cup...in the picture you can see heater....white fan on 5 gallon bucket...both lights...side light is attached to camera tripod...i also have exhaust fan on top of the tent...thanks for dropping by...cheers 20150228_164644.jpg20150228_164757.jpg

Hi need4weed...does plant look like its wind burned...don't know what that looks like..thanks for the comment

Not at all Darwin, your plant looks very healthy. A fan is indeed a must have during veg, but you can have too much wind ... especially with your low humidity. If you have an oscilating fan then you shouldn't have a problem, however I would recommend hanging some wrung out bath towels in your grow area. I was having the same low humidity and mine went from low 20's to low 40's. ... N4W ... :peace:

Need4weed...thats a great idea about the bath towels..wasn't thinking about dryness and wind being a bad combo ..but makes a lot of sense...will add some towels tomorrow....thanks for the great idea dude..cheers

Beginning of week 5..This past week had a lot of growth..in fact one day the plant grew almost three inches and pushed agains the bottom of the light...little bit of leave damage because of that...this week still on 1/3 fox farm nutes....have some yellow spots showing up on some leaves...see attached pics..still watering just thru the solo cup...in the 4 weeks I bet i have only used 1.5 gallons of water...might give the plant a break on the nutes for the next watering.....temps are pretty solid in the mid 70's...still using the oil portable heater in the tent...plant is maybe 1.5 feet high now roughly..it does look a bit spindly but that might be good when bud forms because the side lighting will have to do less work to hit the bud...next week might add another side light..still rotating quarter turn twice a day...have a small box fan that keeps the plant shacking.

Could be a CalMag deficiency, unless you have already treated for that ... :peace:

Thanks Need4weed.....no I have not treated for calmag deficiency..I will do so this week...thanks for the suggestions...cheers mate.

Beginning week 6...lots of vertical growth still...kind of spindly...oh well...part is my fault...i went away for a couple days and raised the light higher than i would normally have it. Temps low to mid 70's with with oil heater still running. Only nutes i used this week was big bloom. The yellow spots are not showing up on new growth. I now have three side lights...see photo...they are each 23watt 2700k...the top light is still the 85 watt 6500k..soon as vertical growth stops I will replace the top one with 2-4 23 watt 2700k bulbs. Plant is starting to flower..see photo...Wondering if I go 1/3 strength with tiger bloom as well as the grow big or not...plant seems happy with the little nutes its getting...humidity in the low 20's...Plant is maybe 3 feet high.. Big Beefy is the 17 pound tabby inspecting things as cats do...cheers
