New Grower Auto Berry - Fiirst try with Auto's

Started 3 seeds July 21 under lights and moved 2 outside after about 3 weeks. Got 1 indica like and one sativa like. Very impressed by the size and amount of buds from such small plants. The plants survived one frost. Checked the girls yesterday after a couple of wet days and found a dime size clump of mold on each one that I cut out. I also cut off any fan leaves to try and improve air flow through the plants. Thankfully today was sunny and breezy and no sign of additional mold.

Took some pictures post trim. The sativa like plant is 30 inches tall and the indica like one is 24 inches. I grow in Pro Mix and coposted manure.

Been waiting for trichomes to start turning amber and just read in another thread that often auto's don't show amber. At this point most of the trichomes are cloudy looking. Let me know what you think

I did read Vapors guid on how to tell when they are done, very helpfull! Wish I had seen it before the trim.

About 25% of the leaves I cut yesterday were starting to yellow but as you can see from the photos none of the bud leaves have really started to turn yet. I guess I will wait until we get a hard freeze at this point which is probably not more than a week or so from now.

Plan to vape some good buds that got cut cleaning out the mold tonight!

Mold again!

Well the heavy buds of my indica like phenotype of Auto Berry just were not drying out enough during the day with our 38 degree nights and heavy dew and started showing little pockets of mold again so I decided to cut it. I am pretty pleased by what I got from a 26 inch plant. Here is a picture of it trimmed and ready to go into the drying shed. That is a 20 oz coke bottle in the picture for a size reference. The other plant still seems to be ok and the nights are supposed to get warmer so maybe it can go another week or 2.

Well I cut my sativa like pheno at day 88 since weather is cold and wet with snow forcasted for next week. Decided to try the paper bag drying method and it took 9 bags!
My indica pheno is in a jar with a 62% Bovida pack. I got 1.5 oz. dry from this plant. I will be back with a smoke report in about a month once everything is curred
