I am finding it hard to get this info together, can anyone chip in and send some pictures of pistils and trichomes from their Auto Assasin at harvest time?

P.s.No tools are available for accurate trichome examination..

With no glass to inspect trics, I'd check swell of calynx, color change of receding pistils, yellowing of fans....there may be a few more indicators 'by eye' but those are my primary ones...

IMO the best way to tell when to harvest is to watch your leaves. When the fan leaves have turned yellow and died off, and the bud leaves are turning yellow, it's time. Here's a picture of one of my AAs right before I chopped it.

Damn, Muddy that is nice.
I f'd mine up so bad, you see the tiny little bud on the bottom of the plant? yeah, that itty bitty one. I might get that much off my AA.

Boy do I like simple. I hate boing out with those pocket microscopes. I tend to take mine a little earlier than Muddy when they the bud turns about half color. I find the pot is just a bit more on the trippy side. You tend to lose a little bud weight. To each his own. Have it the way you like you grew it.

Killer Joe!! Can't wait to see her stripped down! :dancer:

Thanks for the quick feedback guys :) I didn't get to document this grow but I will come back with harvest pictures and a smoke review.. Its week 5 - a very short - extra bushy compact phenno (i had 40w cfl on the top for the first two weeks)... It seems like i am going for an early harvest as its trich production has been way ahead after comparing with other pictures on the web, when do you think I should sharpen my scissors? :D

At week 5 you should still be in veg and still feeding veg nutes. Most AAs go 10 - 12 weeks.

Really? that seems odd.. My trich's are already going milky and I have my first orange hairs popping up on the bottom.. I will have a pic up by next week hopefully

Peace

When did you switch from veg to flowering nutes?
