OF has a steep learning curve because it is precharged with some long lasting elements and others that last only weeks? You need to know when to start feeding by looking at the plant. Consequently it ends up in the infirmary a lot. The most common problem is overfeeding and Cal-mag. It has dolomite lime and that alone should be enough for the grow. Then most peeps tap water has calcium - some in large amounts. Then you add the Cal-mag mania to it and plants suffer
I am a hydro grower because I cannot lift a 7 gallon pot of soil. Pumps do all of my heavy lifting. If you want to grow the best plants in soil I think the new Earth Box is the way I would go. At minimum True Living Soil in a 7 gallon pot.
