and over the eons has made some good garden soil I'm guessing

Yeah I'd have thought so. Maybe I'll find out further down the line, vines grow well here, and citrus, but I'm an indoor grower for now because I'm renting. My front garden is overlooked by the whole community so it's a no-go LOL.
