@arty zan what fan silencer you using mate? Or did you make your own. I thing im going to try an 8 inch td silent fan but might need a silencer as well.

So true mate, people have died from "Bag Pipe Lung"a potentially fatal inflammation of the lungs caused by inhaling certain allergens.
It’s also known as bird fancier’s lung, cheese-washer’s lung, coffee roaster’s lung, compost lung, farmer’s lung, hot tub lung, miller’s lung, laboratory worker’s lung,Malt worker’s lung, thatched roof disease, tobacco worker’s lung, wine-grower’s lung & woodworker’s lung .
Yup breathing all sorts of nasties and fungus can really do a number on you!
Any job where you’re near mould or breathing dust in all day long for that matter is increasing the risk of getting this condition.
Although – how do you get it in a laboratory? Well you can contract it from proteins in male rat urine. Now that is really unpleasant!

It's a diy box to go around the fan.I also have flexible duct silencer to stop the whooshing sound, I also had a final end silencer I made but I dismantled that when I had to shut down last year due to security reasons.
The box silencer was also dismantled for the same reason!
I'm with you on the S&P TD silent fan!
The fan is a mixed flow fan rather than centrifugal, so it is best to go for a slightly larger fan as they don't have the same suck as a centrifugal fan like RUK. Also having a larger filter than normal will help and help keep the S& TD silent quieter as it doest'n have to struggle when extracting the air from your cab/tent.
If your going to use a fan controller then use a variac fan controller to help keep everything nice and quiet & no hum or acoustic resonance..
I will up grade when I have the funds but a larger Rhino Pro filter,TD silent & variac is gonna be around the £300 mark and I got other bills & expenses I need to pay right now!

That's why you should ALWAYS wipe / wash the top of a can..... and NEVER drink directly from it !

(Me.... I don't mind a drop with coke.... but prefer Rum)
