I could only find 1212 and 1818 cobs. It looked like the 1818 was meant for higher wattage applications. Yes I will just be building a single light. The hanger will clip right to the driver.

The better cobs were almost impossible to find in stock. But as the technology improves they will get easier. You will be happy with the light

not quite humph back whales or the great north like @Jraven ,@trailanimal and @1939bear ... but not bad in the middle of a 1.5 million people city :cooldance:
and it's facing almost directly south :headbang: for summer grows
 
The hardest part for me was snapping the cob in the holder. Make sure to orient the positive on the cob to the holder. The rest is gravy
I'm not at all worried about the actual assembly of it. Knowing exactly what to order and where to order from was the tough part. The heatsink was the hardest part, I think there is only 1 place in the states to get the one I wanted.
