I kind of figured as much and couldn't find any rules anywhere last night so thanks for the help!!A lot of folk, including myself are still soaking seeds in water or for those that do so paper towels to start germinating. So don't think everyone will be sprouted by Friday so hopefully not a requirement. My thinking is that they probably want folk to be at least germinating and/or having the seeds sown by then. I'd see if @Renaissance Redneck can weigh in as he's running the contest so should be able to give a more official word on it.

Was thinking about the cutoff for entering the Solo cup contest, and thought occurred to me it could also be an interesting one to have a kind of rolling, never ending contest going for. Here's what I mean: After the current contest is done, the winner's plant becomes the current "AFN Solo Cup King". Anyone that meet's any qualifications decided upon by staff could then grow their own Solo cup plant at any time. Have guidelines they have to meet similar to the current contest and a place to document their cup grow. At the end, they can put up a poll thread to let folks vote their plant vs. the current champion plant. If they unseat it, they become the new keeper of the"AFN Solo Cup King" crown, and can then similarly have their plant challenged by anyone down the road that wants to try growing one.

I like it! Kind of like the Stanley Cup but with pot growing out of it!
