No, I just put sand at the tops after they're established to prevent fungus gnats.

from the archives, today sola is a faint glow to the south, nothing so grand as pic, but pic does have that light and dark thing going which always excites me

Yeah. I did notice a little nitrogen deficiency though... gave them nutrients today for the first time.
