I was browsing and looking for non-industry solutions to trimming. I came across these hedge shears for $40ish on amazon. Its a way better price than $200+.
Does anyone have experience? Im sure it wont ve perfect, but i bet itd save a BUNCHA time.

Surely you jest. At least I am laughing. :crying:I very much doubt that those will trim buds worth a crap. I expect that the blades are too thick to cut close to the bud surface, the edges are unlikely to be sharp enough to reliably snip the target every time, the cutting points are far too blunt to effectively select and snip individual leaves, and the multiple cutting locations are not helpful and may remove unintended targets like maybe a finger or two. Just my two cents of course, but you did ask.

My advice - just buy a nice pair of Fiskars and suck it up. Alternately, you could use the cheapest commercial type trimmer which as I recall just tumbles the dry buds to knock the dried leaves off. I don't have a link for you, but maybe someone else here will. Good luck with your search. :goodluck:

Thank you. This was legit a consuderation as the mrs is saying to chop nowish and shut down till covid blows over. That means a LOTTA trimming in not enough time. So a lil thrushing would be expected. I dont expect it all to be like i scissored it. But just to take down the scissor time by a large percent. Wet trimming is definatelty a necessity, but i dont want to drop 100+ on the grow im about to shut down until further notice. Ya know?

I hope you find an acceptable solution. As to the Covid-19 situation, if your grow is at home, time trimming would be a better idea than being out and about anyway. Good luck with the trim, and good luck with Covid-19.

I got you bud, I got you. I only do 2 at a time or I would do is myself. If you're in a pinch and on a budget may be your best solution. Here are 2 videos might help you out.

I understand the time saving part. That makes sense to me, but.
A shitty trim by hand will be better than a good electric trim.
Go to a Dollar General , get a couple of pairs of scissors, a couple of cases of decent beer. Call your buddies and make an afternoon of it ( Co fucking vid free).
And, you just saved $100. :vibe: :pighug:
