In reading some articles somewhere in space and time, I read that you can use roughly 50mg (.05 gram) of ascorbic acid to counteract chlorine and chloramine. I already bubble out the chlorine for 24 hours, but it doesn't do anything for the chloramine. Would like to delay a RO system till after the first of the year when I have time to do some proper research on brands of RO systems etc...

Thanks!!!

Yep! 50mg/gal. I do 5 gal at a time in a bucket that I put a spigot on with an airstone run in through a 1/4" hole at the top back.

Same, I run a 5 gal bucket of tap water with a small aquarium pump to cycle the water. Add just a dash of cheap powdered vitamin C to it. I started doing it on @Mañ'O'Green advice based on my water report. I have been cutting my irrigation water 50/50 with distilled from the store and cycled/treated tap water.
