Anyone ever take a tent. Fill it with females and then add one male and let things go start to finish? I was thinking about a 4x4 with 4 females and one male made from silver so I can get a load of fem seeds.

Hi Salmon you be better off just collecting pollen & just pollenate a few branchs with a paintbrush then you still end up with some smoke. Unless you need hundreds of seeds its up to you :peace:

I do not care about the smoke on this just seed and I do not think it will be hundreds I am thinking 4 full size autos totally pollinated would supply thousands.

How many plants are you starting with? If 20 or so and you use the best 5 for this--- otherwise I would just use my best two. So breed the best and wank the rest. Harvest and save pollen-then make a branch of seeds each run. When your pollen starts to get too old and the seed harvest drops --time to reverse an other plant. If you can get on oz of flowers then that same plant could make many hundreds of seeds. A tent full of seeded plants is nothing new--but plants that were seeded by deliberate planning instead of by a disappointing accident--well I guess it could actually happen that way! Breed the best Wank the rest!

In my opinion, one person could't use the amount of seed's that would produce befor they go bad.......but if your giving them away to the world then have at it.

Personaly I am sick of starting out with a few expensive seeds and having to accept the plants I get out of it. I would much rather start 40 or so and two weeks latter there's 15 and at 3 to 4 weeks I've got 5 good one's that I didn't baby one little bit. If something goes astray in the first few weeks just start again. Now I'm small but a 1kw grower or outdoor. Round these parts a 100 plant MMJ grow may take better than 1000 seeds-500 female best 1 in 5 yep 1000 seeds easy.

It really doesn't apply to Autos but that is why people keep mother plants and do clones in the photo world to get consistent results.

Neck for neck in the outdoor world when the law is x # of plants-- or your water supply is your limit, a champion plant grown from seed has more vigor than a clone of a champion plant. The genetic diversity of seed derived crops vs clone sister crops has it's merits but for me--a tap root, vigor, a mother plant can't be kept in a draw for however long till I use it. I can't order clones by mail--and the clones from Arcata's legal outlet?? More like a mite ranch! Then there's autos-you've heard of clone only strains--well autos are seed only strains so you better make it a realistically generous crop.

What is it that you are looking for or what type of plant is it that you think is best for you?

I personally only have a few small places to grow so I have to use small pots to keep mine smaller than what they could be as I like to grow different strains all the time so for me I like about a 16 inch plant that puts out between 1 and 2 ounces per plant. I am not about the monster yield as I have no commercial interest in growing so on my grow mission I can typically get what I want out of most strains.
