Mephisto Genetics Any rosin aficionados out there in Mephistoville?

OK Mango Smile is a definite champion strain for rosin !! This is some super smelly and mouth watering tasty sweet and sour mango goodness !!

colours from off-white to yellow to orange and then brown and just running out of the fresh buds dried to ~70% RH pressed through 160 micron bag @ 210 F and 3000 - 5000 psi of pressure on 3x5 inch plates

--no measurements but I can tell you some of the best yield I have ever seen and I can find no fault with either taste or effect:pighug:

Super impressive rosin. Color and consistency off the charts. Bet it's effective too. Nice pictures as well.

Do you know at what PSI you're pressing at? And are your temp, duration and pressure always the same or do you vary them?

I hope to post up some pictures of gooey sticky buttery waxy GWK and Sour Crinkle in a couple of weeks. Chopping 10 plants tomorrow night.

I pressed some Super Orange Haze today, it is a great Pressing Strain too . I am excited for Mango Smile now! Great job

@lunarman I am sorry man I have been talking out of my ass about "tons" of pressure

The pressure gauge is actually written in psi / mpa and I am pressing between 2500 and 7500 psi (I find that most of the rosin is flowing out for me in the 3000 - 5000 psi range)
Right now I am always pressing at 210 F and only vary the temperature if I feel I need to or want to which has not been often
I am not keeping track of the press time any more... just watching the rosin flow... but I would say between 2 and 3 minutes

Just pressed more HubbaBubbaHaze... Stuff presses fantastic and whips into a nice creamy yellow paste tasting like dank bubblegum !!

I was getting poor yields pressing 6 sq inches of bud with 6 tons out of my 10 ton press. Reduced that to 3 tons one day just to see and it was so much better. I am not sure the gauge reading in tons is accurate though.

Check out this article on pressure to use. It says around 1000 PSI is best.

All I know is pressure is important. and that includes the square area of the flowers. And maybe how many grams too.

Resurrecting this thread, which I’d missed until now. I’m about to harvest Skywalker, 3BOG and Sour Stomper and was wondering whether they hashed well, or returned decent for rosin. If anyone has experience making hash rosin out of any of these, please let me know ASAP! The Skywalker gets chopped Wednesday and I need to decide whether to freeze or cure. It certainly seems resinous, more so than the 3BOG but less than the Sour Stomper. I could always freeze half and cure half as well. Thoughts?

I’ve been posting a little in the hash thread, but this seems a much better spot for it. I’ve tracked a few squishes I’ve made on a shared Google spreadsheet, mostly focusing on Meph autos, but also including some medical buds purchased locally.

One thing I’ll point out after reading through the thread is that I’ve found CDLC to be fantastic for flower squishes. Using bud cured for 2 weeks, 63% RH, pressed at 180 for 30 sec warm up and 2 min up to 300ish. I average 24% on it. Below is the spreadsheet tracking my squishes - all flower only so far but that changes soon! And pictured are the last two CDLC flower squishes - about 2g worth, baddered up nicely.

Feel free to add to this spreadsheet with your squishes! This thread has already prompted me to seek out Mango Smile. What else are the top Meph cultivars to be seeking out for rosin making?
