Mephisto Genetics Any rosin aficionados out there in Mephistoville?

Don't waste your time pressing it if it won't yield well. Some strains press well. Some dont. And 1000000% the Rosin results are from the lockout bro. I am surprised you get anything from it pressing. Don't waste the time or energy. Give it to your friends to smoke.

Too bad. The stuff is potent though. I just gave the OD rosin to a friend because it kicks and she needs high potency. I'm going to try one more press of the OD. It might have been too dry when I pressed it so I have it in mason jars with 62% packs. If it doesn't yield well, I'll be giving it away to the smokers in the crowd. Or maybe infuse some coconut oil for baking.

Next up will be some forgotten strawberries. That stuff smells so good, I hope it translates to good rosin.

Absolutely try to adjust the Humidity. It may yield better. The color is darker than normal, but if it is potent use it for edibles as you said. But if you try to press 3g and you get didldly squat ib return once it is a good humidity, you will know the amount of Rosin it produces maximum. I would imagine by the color that it is a good night time dab.

Thanks Slow. Helpful as always. Appreciate it.

2 ODs seemed to be locked out at the end of flower yes. The GG did not lock out from what I can tell. U think that makes a difference in the pressing?

What do you folks mean by locked out? Cal/mag lockout during flower effects rosin production?

Looks tasty to me. I’d smoke the shiat outta that stuff.

Going to let Slow answer that one Recycled. I'm heading off to the garage to press some more Orange Diesel and some new Forgotten Strawberries. Need to take it easy though, my shoulder is barking at me from last nights marathon.

Look at @lunarman OD plants near the last few weeks. They got nute locked and went downhill. The plants died basically, instead of flushing. My guess is he has to press it longer and/or at a higher temp. Sometimes strains won't press well at all, so he is getting a return at least. Look at the color difference vs the Gold Glue. Also, the longer you take the plants... typically the Rosin gets darker. For example, if you take a bud from a plant and dry it out when Trichs are clear/cloudy...the Rosin will be very light in color. Let the same plant go Amber and the Rosin will get darker.

Thank you for the explanation. I’m slowly learning about this method.
