Indoor Any risk running seed mat 27/7?

I'm trying to monster crop some clones & can’t run them with my photos, so I’ve got them in a big cardboard box with t5 led + uv-a . It don’t throw enough heat, so I’m using a seedling Growneer heating mat . Should I be worried running it 24/7 in a cardboard box? Should I put a cookie sheet under the mat so it’s not touching the box? It doesn’t get hot enough to catch hay on fire lol, but I’m worried it might short out or over heat when used 24/7. I’ve only used them for a few days germinating . No pun intended with my Burnvictim handle lol! That’s Daytona beach surfer slang for stoner/pothead etc. lol ! Thanks

Mines been on for 3 weeks

But yeah I always wonder about the cheap resistance element, plastic and water combo. A very good surge protector with overload protection is a must in the grow room.

Thanks man , I got a nice surge protector , so hopefully I’m good to go . Just makes me nervous in a box ! This was spur of the moment & I will get a proper set up .

Ive heard old heads say if you can run it 45mins on and 15 mins off or 15 on 5 off to do so to prevent that very overheating issue. Ive never used one though. Just being a parrot.
