Water soluble fertilizer is a powdered fertilizer meant to big mixed with water before application. It usually leaves very little residue and goes to work immeadiatly. Don't over do it follow the mixing instructions and start off with 1/2 srringth when the plant has at least three sets of leaves not before.

I get cal/mag at a hydro stpre and if all else fails you can buy it in the vitamin section of your pharmacy. Again not too much.

Do you know about pH and do you have a meter?

Thanks nelson thats very helpful and I apperciate your input and what do you mean by water solube and cal/mag im fairly new and would like a proven method bc im going to be tring out a sensi white label super skunk auto grown indoors under cfls and I want the best for it but im on a tight budget so Im kinda limited

Thanks a lot buddy like this will be my first attempt at this and just want to get it right but there are so many optioms out there so im just gonna pick one and try to go with it I really like the coconut fiber but dont know much about but thanks for your time and input it is very much apperciated

the coconut fiber i get is by general hydroponics or from roots organic .......the general hydroponics i liked better because its fine ground comes in a brick like shit mexican weed, yo ADD WATER AND IT HYDRATES AND eXPANDS ALOT so be ready for that ....It was 11 dollars for roughly 10 gals worth .....then the Seaweed BIomax Seaweed compost is 10 bucks for a 40 lb bag and they perlite is 4 dollars for a good bit

the BMSC is amazing for coloring turns leaves this very aqua blue greenish glow ......even tomatoes and ur grass in ur yard ....it isnt very high in nutes 1-1-1 across the board and rich in potash...
I will use 2 different line ups of nutes to do a comparison on the dirts and flavors so i made a challenge for myself

Some people will suggest to aerate the water and im doing this as well because the roots love oxygen and it provides a great growth for you ...

Happy Growing Man

shit i forgot the cocoa fiber is neutral and bland of nutes so its good to mix in dolomite lime 1 tbls per gallon ....this is to balance the ph and the coco fiber is my easiest to balance so far for ph .......it says it holds nutes a lil better and is a faster dryin soil that weed loves

Id like to thank swampman, thai buddha man, muddy, slithery, nelson, automan, namvet and everyone else who helped me out today bc of all of yall I feel really confident on my next grow and ill keep yall updated happy growing and the biggest yeilds to everyone bc I know ill have the best bc from all yalls input thanks a lot and peace out THE MAJOR STONER 420 Blaze&Confused

If going to use coco - I recommend picking nutes specifically formulated for coco as it tends to leech certain minerals. Coco nute formulas take that into account - saving you a lot of headache (& possible heartache if you lose your crop)

Nutes: Roots organic line up
Grow More Seagrow 16-16-16....as advised from a great grower on this site ....then when in bloom Grow More Seagrow 4-26-26
trying 4 plants on seagrow and 3 on the Roots organic .....
good luck bro
for Cal/Mag im going to use molasses and epsom if needed ....so im unsure of the epsom but i cant seem to find any info on here bout it ....would greatly appreciate a chime with a link as well

I have looked into it and have found that the cheaper ones, you have to be careful of the EC count,,,what would you recommend to the new growers using this medium and is this for using solid nutes as to liquid nutes

Swampman i would use canna or house and garden if i was new to coco but after u get a few runs in and understand ur coco better id switch to andanced nutrients connisuer. I grow in coco with about 40% perlite and i started with canna now im useing connie for flowering. I tried AN gmb but didnt care for it to much in the coco i just tried it cause the hydro guy recommended me useing it for veg since i was trien connie. as soon as im out of tye gmb im gonna go back to either canna or h and g probably h and g. I havent tried it yet but everyobe i know thats tried canna and h and.g said.the h and g was a lil better. The connie has.been great though i will probably try doin some connie vs the h and g in flowr next tine to see how they compare.
I also wouod like to try a complete organic coco grow sometime soon maybe my next outdoor grow or a few grows.from now indoors

I dont think we have a coco thread here on afn i think we should hove a dedicated thread for us coco guys. I know i love to see ppls coco grow.

How i do my coco when i buy it to see if i have to wash it is i check the ec of tue runoff if it is over 300 i wash it. If not its usually what the manufacturer put in the coco to help ur poant get off the a good start. I have found that if u buy baged loose coco u usually dont have to wash it but if its a compressed brick of coco it will most likely need at least a light wash. Also u dont have to use coco specific nutes but its better to till u understand the coco better. To use standard hydro nutes ull just have to supplemt the calmag with about 200 ppms and go really light with bloom booster as the coco will produe it own K for ur plant and to muck K will cause u lockout on ur calmag so becaeful in flower with the boosters. Even if u get coco nutes u will still need a bottle of calmag or supplement with another form of calmag. Most plants will require a lil more than what even coco specific nutes will providde. If ur coco that u buy says it has had benifical bacteria added it most likely wont need washin as it would lose the good stuff the company added to it.

Be carefull adding to much perlite also unless ur prepred to water several times a day. Im at day 55 with some autos in 3.4 gal air pots and i litteraly have to water 3-4 times a day but the plants love it there grow like crazy and look healthier than any other medium i have used. I have even clipped some small budds off toward the end of flowr when i was usein a strung nute strength done a quick dry and smoked it and its white ash and burns great just like it uad had a full flush. Coco will produce the best bud its like haveing tue best of both world of hydro amd soil but in my opinion a lil better tuan either one. Anyone that uses this stuff will love the flavors and smells and clean burn from growin in coco

from what ive read thats exactly my point ....I hope i have made the right choices but i seen the Seagrow in person and its effects its the best bang for buck deal they have ....I hope the nutes fit well cause BR is suppose to take a while but damn that shit is pretty im on week 3 soon and for 5 gal pots some have rooted to the bottom and its almost time for some serious growth ...

the coco fiber is to me the easiest to ph properly but havent grow autos ever so this is a trial and error for me i hope from what ive learned that atleast 1 plant will be extrodinary which i should have 3 but 1 I pary will be summn worht the riskk like break from overweight buds ....lol pot smokers dream ....I too or we should start a thread and get summn going on coco fiber and nute line ups .....Maybe muddy will help he is a Mod and awesome grower !!!!!

also the molasses is recommended for the calcium and stuff but read threads of watering with nutes cause you can mix certain nutes together cause they can lock each other out .

I have mixed a compost and until that test properly at 6.3-6.5 im not doing another grow with autos ....have seeds but im waiting till i have every proper piece for a great grow show ,,,,,all i need is perfect dirts now !!!!

How often do u plan on watering. I have found that if u plan to water 1-2 times a week then water at a soil ph of 6.3-6.5 but if watering everyday then treat like hydro soiless with a ph of 5.7-6.0.

Yeah im totally all for a coco thread for everything to do with coco grows. Id love to see hiw other ppl r treatin there cico gros.
