Gnome Automatics Anvil grow

Day 41 of my Anvil grow. The twins are being a bit contrary and not flowering yet. I keep watching and it looks like it will happen sooner or later. They have stretched, just no flowers. I am looking forward to seeing her large purple buds, can’t wait to smell them too.
The top dressing of straw has helped the fabric pots hold some more moisture. Some minor leaf tucking and pinching of lower bud sites were in order. One scoop of Build a Flower Worm casing were added to plain PHd water

The Do-Si-Dos have began their distinctive golf ball flowering, a huge visual difference than the Mimosa growing in the back.

The mimosa is coming along strong, buds are stacking and a hint of frosty sugar leaves are being seen. I’m beginning to wonder if she will make it to 70 days?

My tent is getting cramped as all three plants have stretched. PHd to 6.5 and added two scoops of “build a flower” top dress to the straw. No scratching it in just on the straw. I have to say the straw helps hold moisture well.

The mimosa is getting frosty fat flowers at day 44, no way she will make it another month. I suspect maybe 20 more days, but we will keep watching her. Leave tucking and pinching now, you get the telltale smell of citrus. She is going to be yummy.

The anvil has stretched and all the plants are about the same size, except the main cola of the mimosa, flowers are just starting to form, behind the other two girls. My patience will be rewarded.

The dosido is doing her thing, buds are fattening up.. and her smell is more like skunk… at least for now.

It’s day 52 and girls are growing happily. Moved the light up to the highest position and turned it on 100%. My water routine remains the same, except I added two scoops of build a Soil top dress, _1 TBL spoon Epsom salts and 1 Tsp bird Guano.. as the other girls are building flower. Expect the mimosa to be done first, check the Trichomes again tomorrow when I have more time.

Mimosa is putting on the weight..
Do-Do’s flowers are small yet distinctive in their golf ball sized shape.
The Anvil has stretched and if flowering nicely..

Today is day 58 of my second grow. The Anvil has started to flower and so far no smell. Beginning to show some beautiful purple color..she is making me wait and wait some more .. the Anvils are the first pictures with the small flowers.

The Mimosa has packed on the flower.. she smells slightly fruity mixed with a little gas … flower is getting frosty …runs 9-10 weeks.. will check the Trichomes next week..

The Do-Si-Dos… are beginning to pack on the flower.. they smell like funky gym shoes … kinda weird…. All things going like clock work .. thanks for stopping by!

Day 74 of my Anvil grow, the Mimosa has been chopped and drying. The Anvil is a huge purple bugger, still growing strong. Looked at the buds under the microscope, beautiful purple trichomes. She will go another week or two.
The Dosido…. Is finishing up… she will get chopped soon.. mostly cloudy heads and a few amber ones.

Start scoping them trichomes buddy. Some strains keep throwing out pistil after pistil... It's their way to keep an opportunity open to still get fertilized.
Check the color on the trichomes. You'll see that it's the stalks that have the color, but the globular bulbs will be transparent/milky/amber.

I took a few shots of the Trichomes today, the buds are rock hard and slightly sticky.

Anvil is getting top heavy, she is starting to fade beautifully. The trichomes are sticky and I don’t think are quite ready to chop. I’m looking for some spacey high with a bit of nap time thrown in. What do you think, another week?

I chopped the Anvil last Monday. She has been drying in my old wooden cabinet, 53 RH and 64 degrees. Figure she needs a few more days drying, possible 4-5. Then into Grove bags for a month to cure. Love the purple color though, see how she weighs out next week.

I’ve got Fastbuds Blackberry and Night queen going now. Planning the next grow with gnome BlackStrap, Mothman and Mephisto CLDC.

Updating my Anvil grow. After 8 days hanging in my drying cabinet, I decided to trim the buds and place in paper bags. These buds have huge resin heads and my trimming efforts were rewarded with a nice ball of scissor hash. The buds are now in jars with boveda packs, trying to lower the humidity a bit more from 65 down to 62. Some final trimming left before curing in Grove bags. Looking for a long cure. Thanks for keeping up with my grow.
