hell yeah, i think im about to do something similar with an on aquarium laying around

I've heard you gotta be careful with clear stuff, the light promotes bad growth in root area.

I tried to make some baby bubbles buckets with clear plastic containers and had a bad time.

I think leave as is, you're on track timing wise in my opinion
