beings with a million more years of evolution may find it very easy to fold space and make it almost insantaineous to travel that distance, and now they, our astronomers are saying that it appears that most stars have planets. but very few show as earthlike. if i was a alien with a superior intellect i would
like to keep an eye on one planet that has a wide range of life! and also maybe to prevent the humans from destroying it. the day the earth stood still, might be prophetic

"very few" planets out of trillions, quadrillions, who knows how many(and they havent scanned the known universe im sure theyve barely scratched the surface of our galaxy) also they find these planets on gravitational ripples in suns and stuff its hardly accurate and only in its early stages. theyre not talking hundreds, much more.... thats not a small number but relatively small compared to the whole.

and maybe but thats still a huge jump and conflicts with everything we know. im not saying things dont change and get rewritten but you cant just assume everything is wrong on a hunch and decide that the hunch is fact.

if there is complex life out there im sure it would also be in an ecosystem similar to ours in that survival of the fittest and evolution are driving it lots of different kinds of life. i dont think we are that special.

Personally I believe it would be ignorant/arrogant for us to believe we are the only life in a near infinite universe - so I believe life is out there. I just do not feel like they have visited here. The Earth is a very difficult planet to "see" from a distance. We are small, and close to our star and have a dark blue signature from the water in our atmosphere.

Any species with the evolution to travel great distances would most likely be a top predator and would not be a friendly invader. When was the last time you went and walked (explored) in the woods. Did you think about the fragile plant species you are stepping on? Did you think about the insects, microbes, and fungi that you just crushed under your feet? Don't think so, and neither will the ET's. That log you threw on the fire was home to hundreds if not milllions of different organisms. They experienced a catrastophic death but you didn't think twice did you? Am I trying to lay a guilt trip on everyone? No, but just putting it in perspective. The comparison of our intelligence to that of an ant is a good analogy of the gap between us and any intelligent alien life out there. They would most likely be searching for resources not organisms. Anal probes are a thing of science fiction. It puts a gross assumption that aliens would be "Human Like". We are not "Ant Like" or "Plant like" - so who knows what morphology they would have. Furthermore, who is to say that Earth would be considered an inhabitable planet to them?

However; I feel we should still keep looking out to find life beyond earth. Most likely it will start in the form of a microbs, tethered to a piece of space debris (Asteroid/meteroid, etc.). Distance and time are our own worst enemy. But maybe someone/thing has found a way around it. (insert X-files theme song here)

I believe mars has single celled organisms currently which could be classified as aliens. I don't however believe we came from mars. It would take an extremely sophisticated thinking entity to traverse from earth to mars. These specifications are still giving humans headaches today as we plan to journey to mars.

I love to think outside of the box, so of course I would encourage you to do so as well . I agree some things in history don't make sense. The Babylonians for instance, they knew complex algebraic and geometric realms. They also knew Pythagora's theorem 1000 years before he did; this vast understanding of mathematics is very impressive. They also lived in devised street grids with sewage and created the minute through water clocks. These people were either strikingly intelligent or they had some outside help.

lol those rocks above are HUGE! We will definitely see a trip to mars in our lifetime(depending on how old you are) IF the funding is there.

I have a friend that looks like a caveman so does a lot of his family, I'm sure if they lived in an isolated area there would be a lot of bones that gave more of that distinctive cave-man apperance. Same for any other distinctive hereditary or adaptive distinction.

Yea, I'm a creationist, the science leans more to that side anyway. How did we get so far from True science by trying to go against what was already more common knowledge. leave it to the scholars to want to come up with something new when everything has already been said and shown. get creative and find your new in the way you say it, not by proving yourself and blinding others just to make them look only at your obscure angle.
