New Grower Amber Trichs Question

Sooo. I'm close to harvest. I see amber trichs on the buds closest the light.. About 25%.. The secondary branches and lowers are about 3-5% amber.

My question is, which part of the plant do you base the percent of amber trichs off of? The top half? Lower half? An average of the two?
I think I harvested my last plant a little to soon so I want to clarify this before I take down my next pant in the next few days.

no reason why you cant do a 2 or 3 stage harvest,to suit your needs.me i cut at the first sign of amber.

Thats how I did my first one! In two stages. I just may do that again. Just want to make sure I have enough amberm lol. So you take the whole plant at the first sign of ambers on the upper buds and dont worry about checking the lowers?

im purely a recreational grower/smoker,i check all over sometimes the first amber is middle.i just like the head high so chop early in some peeps eyes.general laziness means i cut the whole plant,just my style.

I've been playing with that a bit, I started letting them go until I see a bit, maybe 10-20% total when adding all the trichomes I look at. But that's because I'm trying to see if that helps with anxiety.

Although I may go back to chopping my high THC plants at the very first sign of amber, while running CBD high strains that I'll allow to get somewhere between 30-40% amber.

Just playing with it at this point, doing lots of research and trying to replace all my pharmaceutical labs meds with canna...

Thank you both! I went ahead and started another stage harvest. I took the main cola down since it was the most amber.
I will do a few branches a day until she's completely harvested.

less amber = heady buzz i find
were as over ripe / lots of amber is more of a couch lock feeling i find

i like to harvest some were in the middle so u get the best of both
cloudy with some amber

or different stage harvest

I chop when I have time. Of course, all cloudy is minimum. Then if it's 10% or 20% amber... who cares.
