Grow Mediums AKsteel's First DWC, Mephisto Mystery Seed

Update Day 58
This girl just keeps growing. She is now 43" tall and still putting on height and flowers. Still not developing weight yet and no frost showing up but she is still a beautiful green and I think is still going to go for at least another month before flush.
She is drinking 4 liters a day of bloom nutes. PPM is running around 1100 and Ph=5.7 to 5.9. We did decide to give her a hair cut. There was no light getting down to the bottom branches and we want her to put more energy into her main tops that are getting all the light. This is the first time we have ever cut on a plant before harvest so I am curious of what opinions are out there. Does it help or hinder in other peoples experience. Thanks for following along and everyone's support.
Pic to follow.

Ummm what can I even say @AKsteel holy shit my friend this thing is a beast, I know in your sig it says it is a mystery mephisto seed, but @dcat0921 is growing that HBBSS and they dang sure do look similar. If I remember correctly didn't you start a mystery seed but then either found out it was HBBSS or you planted another one that is for sure HBBSS? Basically my question is, is this a HubbaBubbaSmellaScope lol

Yes...the monster is a HBSS from @mephisto .
You really need to go to there web page and even there forum page here at afn. Mitch and Tim are awesome and the way they have created there strains is pretty cool. If this plant yields like I think it will and maintains its quality smoke that I keep hearing about I will probably go exclusively to mephisto seeds.

@AKsteel I am so glad you stuck with it and started this second plant. I was a little afraid that after what happened with the first that it was going to scare you away for DWC. Your plant is just freaking huge! I think Mitch needs to take note of those of us that are growing Mephisto strains in DWC set ups and add this information to the strain size guide on the Mephisto Genetics forum. Seems to be a massive difference between soil and hydro grows.

Again very well done. I believe you said someplace that you grow for Mrs. Steel, hopefully this one plant will take care of her needs for a while.

If his doesn't supply her with enough I'll share some of mine as I think it'll be about the same size...and give more meds than I'll know what to do with.

Mrs. Steel was not thrilled with the idea of DWC to start and was not happy when I started the HBSS. Keep in mind she has to take care of the garden while I am away from work which can be 3-6 weeks at a time. So in all reality the success goes to her. I just do the research, set up the equipment and keep up the journal. Basically all I do is the logistics, she does all the maintenance and work.
So after the failure she was pretty much done with DWC but I was able to get her on board for one more try. With everyone's input I was pretty sure what adjustments needed to be made. So now she informs me that it was "her" idea for DWC and is very proud of the HBSS. I am not allowed to touch that plant. It is her baby and she will take care of all its needs.
Well any guy who is married knows that when the wife takes ownership of a project you are interested in then thats a good thing. So Mrs. Steel now calls herself a hydro girl and is already asking when we are installing an R/O system in the house. So all credit to to Mrs. Steel on her super sexy hydro HBSS.

Sounds like a winning combo. You set it up and she takes the credit...lol
Glad to know it's working and everyone is happy. That's all that matters man.
