Seed Stockers AK420, Power Plant, Blackberry Gum, with a smattering of BDSM

I hope it will. I was growing in 15 liter run of the mill plastic pots, and pulling a lot more than these 11 liter smart pots. Bigger root mass=bigger plants?
The depth of these will give more more height regardless, there is an extra 15cm of soil for the tap root to grow into, before the rootball goes outwards sideways.

I would agree , but I think there is something untapped with these airpots, I have run the bigger pots but buggered if I can get them root bound, anything close with just plain watering, it's the time limit an auto has ? I looking at width opposed to depth next ?

I'm not running air pots, just smart pots. I don't know if there is a difference, the concept is the same, air pruning of the roots. My 11 liter smart pots are full of roots when I take them out after harvest. Time will tell, but im gonna take a punt and say I'll yield more this time.
Famous last words :crying:

what colour bottom has the 15/25L pot ?
in theory autos like a deeper than wide pot......but there must be a point of diminished returns.so i wonders at what point that is.maybe thats one for pop22 theory busting thread.im so shit at remebering threads round here,thats not what its called but its something like it.

Not sure about the airpot colour. But depth is more important, I'm my understanding. That's why tiering works well, it extends the length of the tap root

Sorry pal thought it was airpots, I sure hope you do yield more

Yep , that's my thoughts just couldn't spell diminished returns lol , I going to try a few things archie

Yep going to try that as well any tips for tiering? Like ages etc? I want to pot on 1ltr pots to 3ltr ?

@hairyman

I used to transplant tier, so not the conventional tiering. I would transplant into a hole, that wasnt deep enough for the new plant, so maybe an inch or 2 is up out of the soil. This allows oxygen to the top of the rootball, and not being in the pot, stops the roots from being restricted growing outwards. Do it around day 10-14

Day 6, Power Plant. Selected the one I liked the look of, nice amount of growth so far. Just had her first feed of 1ml fish mix, 1ml Heaven, 3 liter seving.
