I was picking up some supplies today, and while I was at the growshop, I got to talk with another customer with donkeys years of experience.

He noticed the Autopot XL I was picking up, and after saying they were great, asked if I planned to use airdomes. Said I was and have 10 already. He then said he had used airdomes, and wasn't sure if it was a good idea, said the only time he used them he got stemrot on some but not all of his plants.
He grows photoperiods, but didn't think it would have been different had it been auto's.

Has anyone ever heard of air injection into the soil being a cause, or contributing factor, to stem rot(fusarium)?

I've seen very little on the subject of air injection, so you and I are on new ground it looks like. I'd say the trickiest part of using it is to keep the upper soil moist but not wet. I expect my first attempt to be a learning experience. I'll have my setup in place june 51or 16th. I'll be starting my seeds soon for the grow.

Are you doing a grow using air injection?

Yes I am, well that is, the seeds have popped, 4 x Think Different and 3 x Frisian Dew so far, but the stupid problems getting my setup finished, see https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?threads/state-of-affairs-dutch-large-scale-grower.43093/ means nothing has been potted yet, but IF I have everything by the end of the week, 2 TD's and 1 Frisian Dew will share their home with air domes and/or some homemade injection system. Then I will be able to compare the TD's and FD's non-air and air.

Thinking of trying a 10 cm disc airstone wrapped in microfiber cloth or a flat plastic container with plenty of 1 mm holes also wrapped in microfiber cloth.

Yeah, it's a learning experience, I can't wait to get cracking, but it's out of my hands at the moment.

I may be trying it in about a week or so. If you use stones. Try 6 inch netpots as domes maybe and or the 6 inch or so bucket fit netpots rims on them..
