Hey guys/gals,

I wanted to address a few things with the domain(s) :

1. The person that owns the actual domain "autoflower.net" is not me or Mossy. Unfortunately, that person has basically held the domain portion of the site hostage; refusing to answer phone calls or text messages (about us doing this upgrade that was planned months and months and months ago, and truth be told this person did the same thing to us last time we upgraded the forum software) and was using that silence as leverage to hold on to the domain and to force certain decisions.

So after long debate, we said "screw it, keep your domain; let's move to .org and not have to deal with this petty shit." The domain is separate from the server hosting/data (which is what we own (that's a good thing for all of us!))

2. Because we don't have access to the .net domain; a lot of the normal forwarding options (like the ones suggested in this thread) unfortunately were not/are not available to us as far as I know. We were also locked out of Cloudflare (which can lock down things pretty hard,) which above said person also had the account for.

Not an ideal situation (and yes, that sucks.) Without access to the domain; the upgrades/updates would not have been possible.

3. I want to repeat; We do not currently own/operate the autoflower.net domain; so ANYTHING posted on there is no longer maintained or updated by us. I'm not sure why he's putting up the old Autoflower logo, that's super suspect.

I would be very wary of clicking on anything on there.

The split is a good thing for all of us; and we have so much support and strong influencers involved with the community; I don't think it will take us long to get back into the normal traffic!

Anyway; it's been the pink elephant in the room and I'm not keen on bashful sugar coating. Trying to keep this drama free (or at least keeping it to the normal AFN-esque drama. Ha!)

4. I'm going to work with the tech staff today to see if we can't get this Autoflower.org business sorted quickly (the certificate error; it not resolving properly, etc.) I'm sure it's something very simple.

Dot org is very apt for AutoFlower.org It will not take long for google to figure out which one is the real AFN, and you'll be back on the radar. I don't know if they still use metatags for key search words? They used to work real good to boost relevance and search-engine rankings

Thanks man!
If my stoner memory serves it was quite the experience the last time we tried to do this. It's also when we picked up the .org just so as to not have to go through it all again. Good thing , eh!!
The DNS issue is perplexing, all of our DS stuff is good, hopefully the rest will fall into place. One thing I found helpful was to type autoflowernetwork into your search, that seems to bring us up so you can find us again!
Peace,
WWW
