Hello AFN!

Thought i would journal this, very simple 2 plant AKR grow in my tent, John innes multipurpose soil with perlite. like i said, simple!

They will be under the MH bulb until i see some pistils and then maybe a week from then the HPS will be out to play :hump:

will be using Bio grow and bloom, along with hammerhead PK 9/18 and molasses.

Beans popped out the dirt on the 15th and 16th feb. The girl on the left in the bucket was the 15th and the one in the beasty pot was 16th. The fan you see in behind the seedlings is out of the tent now and blowing between the girls and the light from the outside, keeping a nice 20c temp.

i shall update every week with pictures.

Here we are at 19 days from sprout for the bigger girl, 18 days for the other.

big girl is showing a slight lack of N in her bottom leaves, after the 1st feed i gave them only water then fed again today on 1/4 dose still. next go i'l add more in the way of half a dose,

all in all they are growing at a very nice rate, i think they are gonna thrive with all the root space. short n bushy for now but i'm sure they will take off in the next few weeks, just dont want them stretching like hell.

noticed the smell already in this last week, seeing some slight pistol formation , soon as there is more to see i'l get some macro snaps up ! :peace: out

8 weeks from now...!

Day 25 with my afghans, now flowering as of 3-4 days ago.
beginner leaves dying off with all newer growth happy as larry :D

Saying that i'm noticing some sort of light bleaching as pictured in the last snap, only on the smaller of the 2 girls on the lower leaves i figured it's likely to be the light so moved that up a tad , now at around 18 inch. temps a nice 22-25c throughout day and night, any other suggestions on the bleaching and what it could be and help it, would be mucho appreciated.

1 more week max under the halide whilst feeding their last N feed and switching to the HPS and starting on the bloom food, regularly still feeding N as and when they look like they need it. really wanna keep the healthy goodness flowing as long as possible with these.

day 27,

starting to see some great growth now especially from the bigger of the 2 girls, branches flying out and bud sites rapidly forming,

i'm under the impression that they are hungry and thriving more N.

i have a stronger N food here, thats 10.6% whilst the bio grow i am using is 8% would anyone reccomend me feeding with that for the next few feeds?

this other feed i got , i had great results using it with photo plants...

N 10.6%
P 4.4%
K 1.7%

@ 4 weeks + 3-4 days

whats up afn, heres my AKR's now 1 month and a few days old.

things could be better as far as the smaller girl is concerned , she is flowering real slow compared to the other and both are showing signs of what i think is mg def as pictured, the damage only seems to be on a couple of leaves on one of my plants tho.
If anyone can please clarify this for me would be great

this has to be the reason for the yellowing early on, seemed to yelllow the leaves starting from the tips and working it's way to the base. my soil contains nothing in the way of secondary and other nutriants., though i haven't had any fans completly die yet which is good. the bottom ones look as good as done now

i mixed up some epsom salt at 1/4 tsp per litre of water , and shall feed that tommorow.

the bigger plant is budding nicely very happy with her, sugar is now appearing :D just hoping the epsom salt will knock the smaller girl back on track.

Still running the MH with grow food after reading one of Muddy's great threads on when to make the switch with auto's, think i will be switching soon now as the big plant is taking off!

pics are just from my phone , will take better bud shots tommorow when i water/feed them.

hey man I was thinking about your ladies today when I was in my garden and I was pondering what looked like some yellowing like yours on one of my plants, reminded me of your issue you had. I tested runoff today on one plant and it was super low pH compared to the others (this one runoff was 5.3 compared to 6.3 with the other plants) so maybe I was locking out nutes that way? Did you ever test pH going in and/or pH going out to see what it was? Do you have a soil pH tester?

by the leaves changing, and the "rust" spots, it looks to def be a cal mag deficiency. I follow Dr Autoflower close, and from hat he says, auto's "love" cal mag. Im following your thread closely, because im on my first grow, and I also got AKR's. Im about almost exactly a month behind you, im on day 5 out of the ground. Here are some pics, im basically gonna use your grow as a mold of what to expect I guess. Thanks man! Other then that small prob, they look awesome bro!DAY 3 (2).jpg DAY 3.jpgDAY 3 (3).jpg
