Hmmm. I am all for helping you but I am not to altogether sure what the problem is. Stunted asked all the right questions. Always provide all of this when you have problems, because we are gonna ask anyway before we can even begin to help you out. Maybe you're giving her a little too much nutes. Sorry for your troubles man, I wish I could help more.

I answered all of his question the answers should be about 2-3 posts up??? I thought typical nute burn always started at the tips? My problem always starts mid lead :( so sad

Someone replied!! Haha thanks I guess I'm an early bird :D

Ok here's your answers. This is like my 10th grow, so I'm going to give all the right answers, I just can't figure out what this one problem is....

Res temps 67-69
Room temps 75-78 lights on, 70-72 lights off humidity is 50-60%
Ph is always 5.8-6.0, constantly
It's not a spilled nute problem, no holes in leaves or such
There is one other plant in room, La Diva, which is THRIVING so I excluded bugs and pests.
Plant does seem to be a light green, maybe a lack of N, but I tried that with no positive results. I tried that after the cal-mag attempt.
I've used big bud, which is mainly P, but I just started using it so I used minimal.
Now, the fan is the only issue I can think of...there is a medium-strong breeze, and I'm thinking maybe this is taking the moisture out of the leaves.
Here's is exact description of what happens. I see a little shiny spot on a lower leaf. By the end of the day there will be 2-3 shiny spots. Next day shiny spots get worse, and these shiny spots eventually turn into that orange-brown crispiness, where the leaf wants to crumble if you handle it eventually.

This plant is doomed. But I have 12 more afghan kush seeds, so I want to tackle this problem so if I encounter it again I'll know what to do.

Any ideas?? Is it to cold for afghan? I am usually pretty good at fixing problems but I'm just stumped on this one! Thx

Hey Paranoiakills,

Have you tried to give her epson salts? That looks like a Magnesium deficiency to me. All the classic symptoms:

- No deficiency symptoms are visible in the first 3 to 4 weeks
- In the 4th to the 6th first signs appear. Interveinal yellowing and rust brown spots on older and middle aged leaves. Younger leaves still healthy.
- Leaf tips turn brown and curl upwards as the defeciency progresses
- Rust brown spots multiply and interveinal yellowing increases
- rust brown spots progress to the top of the plant
- younger leafs develop rust brown spots and interveinal yellowing
- in extreme cases leafs dry up and die

So... does it sound similar? If so... :) had 2 teaspoons of epson salt per gallon of water. For fast results spray the folliage with 2% solution of epson salts. The treatment will be inversely opost to the defeciency, meaning the green will come back to the younger leafs first and then will spread to the bottom leafes.

You should raise the soil Ph to 6.5 also. The extra magnesium in the soil is generally not harmful but it can affect calcium uptake, so keep a look out for that.

Any defeciency that starts in the bottom leafs it's due to mobile nutrients, either macro or micro, because the plant reallocates the few nutrients to where the growth is. Imobile nutrients defeciency start at the top of the plant.

Hope I've helped... let us know! :)

I think he said he added cal/mag and it didn't help much. I guess you could try just a epsom salt spray with mag and no cal to see if that helped.I know man I know, try not to stress it ain't worth it. You said you have plenty of others. Make you keep taking care of those and don't forget about them.

Thanks everyone I'm going to try the Epsom salts :) I'm not really stressed out, this plant IS GOING TO GET THROWN AWAY, regardless. But, before that I want to solve this problem before it happens to my next grow. I've seen magnesium deficiency in every other grow I do, maybe on this particular strain it simply looks different.

There's some confusion tho, I'm not in soil I'm in DWC hydro, that explains why my ph is 5.8 and not 6.5

So now that is settled, let me make sure, can you put Epsom salts in a hydro bucket? I just want to make sure before I goof up again :)

Those pics are a week old, my plant has gotten much worse since. I'll post some pics tonight of what it currently looks like.

My ppm is an amazing 1400 right now....wow. It's hard to say up the ppm, because I'm really pushing the line of ppm already that's extremely high.

Maybe it just looks weird cause like JM said it's probably two deficiencies in one :-/ the slight "purpleness" defines potassium, and it also has been stretching like crazy, which also backs up his theory.

But it's also a lot lighter in green than the recent pic I posted, is it possible to have a ppm of 1400 ppm at week 1 and half and have a complete NPK deficiency? This plant is crazy!! Never had any kind of problem like this and I just harvested an afghan kush

I will keep everyone posted, pics coming tonight sorry for the long reply but guess I gotta get all the details in :)
