Aeroponic cloner bacteria

I have a cloner that keeps getting slimey, and PH is rising is a problem. Someone said I probably have bacteria. Just cleaning the heck out of the cloner, but do not want to remove netpots, and damage roots trying to get them back in. Can I spray the roots and netcups with hydrogen peroxide, straight? How long can I let it sit, before rinsing?

yes... straight peroxide from the store should be ok... thats 1.5 - 3% solution... should kill it all.... let it sit 5-10 mins then rinse well with clean water...

now.... whats your water res temp? cuz that may be the real issue...

Thanks!! That is what I wound up doing.

I am new, and struggling. Was using rollitup.org (where I got numerous trojans and rootkits planted on my PC), and mostly got sarcastic answers and non-answers. Also am low on bucks, so I ran the cloner outside for awhile, on 90 degree days. That is where the original bacteria came from. It is now on basement floor. Think average temp is like 74 degrees (from TDS tester). I threw in a half gallon frozen soda bottle tonight. Is lower temps better. What would be best temp to kill off bacteria???

I'm not sure about killing off bacteria... but preventing it.... 60 -65 is a good res temp.... the soda bottle trick should work fine... just make sure res temps stay on point and that should keep the slime from growing and help stabilize the ph a little better.

I know this site is oriented towards AF. I am learning with schwag. So you guys probably do not deal with cloners, pruning, screen of green, etc., and did not think questions in that direction would be well received.

We are a cannabis site that was created so Auto-growers could have a decent place to talk without the trolling. Many of us grew photo strains for years & many of us still do.

As far as your problems, H2O2 should help. Using Hygrozyme should also help. Slime could be several things. How are the clones looking?
With the cloner being outside - you might of picked up root aphids - nasty little f-ckers. Or could be fungus gnat larvae - also nasty lil F-ers. Or could be root rot. Recommend keeping the cloner indoors.
Definitely keep your temps down though 60-65 is going to be hard to maintain without a chiller.. I try to stay below 72F, ideally 68-70F, a few spikes of 75F is fine.

I am rags to riches to rags. Besides being low on bucks, really worry about having seeds sent to address. If I had money, and an alternate address, I would love the idea of short high producing plants. That is the goal. I am using crap seeds, to learn. I had a tray of about 60 seeds eaten by a chipmunk. I would be pissed if it were 10 dollars a seed.

Appreciate your input!! AF is the ultimate goal. My problem is getting seeds.

A friend recommended Attitude seed bank. Do you have any other recommendations??
