I was at the hydro shop the other day and i was asking about the bloombastic. The gentleman told.me if i want to run it with AN i should get rid of overdrive,bud candy, and big bud. Does this sound right

Id check it out with Advanced...there 800 number is actually very usefull at least in the 2 times I called. Because one works at a Hydro store does not mean there product experts. I find I know as much about growing as the ones at mine. They just happened to score a job.

For the aboves question. If I had to cut down I would consider this the minimum for my regiment... Sensi Grow/Bloom, Big Bud, Bud Candy, Cal Mag, and Silica.

I think what the shop guy is trying to say is that bloombastic would replace Overdrive, Bud Candy and Big Bud. That's definitely not true. It doesn't do exactly what any of those three do. It might, however, interfere with them.

You have to be careful mixing too many different things together that weren't designed to be used together. It's really easy to end up with too much of one nutrient, causing a lockout of another nutrient and suddenly you're seeing weird deficiencies that don't make sense because you're giving your plants plenty of nutes.

I'd agree with rhapsodyrcks on everything except the Cal Mag. You shouldn't need that with AN base nutes.

You are probably correct on that. I have a bottle left over from my fox farms days and I def needed it then...probably not now. Its almost gone and most likely was not going to replace it.
I know alot use Molasses for there grows and Bud Candy/Carboload are similar but AN does add some other stuff and its in a more bioavailable form. Its like some medications are better suited via IV then pill format. How I look at it.

I use the AN line up and do pretty well with yields but it really is strain dependent as far as the additives go jackal gets amazing results with just the base nutes and bloombostic and bud candy and he gets some of the biggest yields on here ... I on the other hand use the additives but not all of them I use b52 and voodoo juice and half strength bud candy in veg and in flower bud ignitor during pre stretch and big bud for a week or so then over to overdrive to finish up the last few weeks before flush oh and bud candy all through flower full strength . I have but do not use carbo load , rhino skin , piranha , sensizime , And nirvana I have used them in side by sides with out using them and seen absolutely zero difference in anything
