So I'm thinkin I wanna get a new hood for my 400watt hps. I don't seem to be getting quality light on the edges of my cab. So does anyone have anyone have any experince with the adjust-a-wing medium if so how do you like it, does the light spread as evenly as advertised? I'm thinking about buying one so any input would be awesome.

Thanx

i have a silver star air cooled its pretty sweet also there are adjust a wing cool tube now.
For light spread you cant parabolic hood but they are not very concentrated but some swear by them
dont know if it helps

Ive got one and I think the coverage could be wayyyy better with a different hood, or even the sun soaker which I'm really thinking of getting. My temps are starting to get real low right now so I'm going to be sealing everything up, adding co2 and using a big reflector like that. The adjust-a-wings just seem to not have that coverage I'm going for. In a smaller space it might be ok, though.

yep i'm in a 3.5 x 3.5 x 8' room it has got to be better than the one im using now I hope i didn't waste my money I already ordered it lol

Edit: what size room are you in organicgrower

Hey L3v3r !
I'm using an adjustawing+superspreader and they are great ! Easily doubles the light efficiency coming out of your bulbs if you're using the budget hammer reflectors.
I don't think you can do any better. Double parabollics are the best after all, and the material is already 97% reflective. They pay for their price in the first grow easily I'd say. Just be careful that you don't get a fake !
Also, the superspreader really does reduce the heat under the lamp by quite a bit, 40% like they claim I'd say, but that doesn't mean the total ambient temp of the room won't rise, but still, you can get your bulbs real close with them installed.

Thank you C.E. You answered every question that I had, and all my worries are gone Thanks bro +rep. And i got the real deal adjustawing :D

No prob bro !
Make sure the superspreaders are 100% parallel or they will make some nasty shadows ! :D
Even when installed properly they make a slight shadow directly under the bulb but imho that compensates for the overly bright spot that is usually there.
If you don't like em removing them takes a second.

PS: Don't be high when you have to put these together :P and an extra pair of hands will help you a great deal when you want to first set the wings and bend them. Kinda need some1 to help ya with that or it's gonna be a pain.

PM'd ya.

Got them like them, but if you need to remove bulb heat in the summer then it will be tuff...

Wow 4 600s in a small room. Put in a bench for the Summer and a couple of misters and you got a steam bath.
