So i finally got around to getting one of these bad boys and boy do they make my life easier! The first one i purchased arrived but was broke right under where the meter attaches to the stem i can see the wires. I contacted the company and they shipped me out a new one in better packaging but told me to keep the broken one. All it needs is some tape or glue and i got 2 of these babys for $60! Anyone looking to get a discounted one bc it is broke PM me!

Congratulations Akito, they sure are handy. I couldn't be without mine.

I got mine at https://www.horticulturesource.com $47.11, &8.06 shipping, $3.96 low order fee:finger:. I didnt see anything on the website about that but oh well its only 4 bucks:D:. Delivered in 5 days, HorticultureSource sent 4 emails detailing when they received the order when it was shipped with a usps tracking link as well as details on its progress to me, very good communication. It is a very nice piece of equipment and so ez to use even I can do it:D:. I have a couple questions How often should I check the ph? I've been checking daily, its a consistent 6.8.
On the moisture gauge, I'm reading 3-4 on the 1-8 scale
. At what point should I water or is it better to judge by the dry top soil & the weight of the container method?
When do I need to calibrate it?
Thanks for your help :peace:

I take 3 readings per pot and average them. I normally do this 2 or 3 days after watering/feeding but before the pots become too dry. If too dry, you won't get an accurate reading. Always make sure to clean the probe between readings and let it sit at least 5 minutes for the readings to stabilize. I don't use the moisture readings. I use the weight methods for knowing when to water. Unless I'm seeing an issue, I normally only check the soil pH a couple times at the beginning of the grow, then maybe after every 3rd watering just to make sure things are staying on track.
