A Tale Of Two Pheno's
(2 Think Different in Soil Under 600w HPS)

Hi all, I am countzero404 a longtime lurker of AFN, but a very new poster. This is my latest grow of 2 Think Different from Dutch Passion Seeds.

Now normally a grow diary starts at the beginning and ends at the end, but like all trendy film directors I'm gonna cut it up a bit and start at the end (ish) go back to the begining and finally end in the middle somewhere after missing crucial bits out.

Currently they are at week 9 from seed being planted and are happily maturing, the plant on the left (plant 1) has already had 7 or so large tops removed that matured early (that and I had no smoke) and were over shadowing the entire plant. Girl no. 2 is in a slightly smaller pot but is untouched and will be pushed for as long as she takes, currently she seems to be at least 2 weeks behind girl 1 even though they both went in at the same time and came up within a day of each other, hence why I belive I have both TD pheno's.

So the begining, these beans went into the pots they are in now on the 12th may, and went straight under my 600w Hps in a light seed mix soil with spagmum moss mixed in as well, a quick drink of ph'd rhizo and water then left till they poke up.
Girl 1 came up first on the monday with girl 2 poking her head out on the tuesday.
Now Girl 1 was a very vigourous seed, but quickly the stem got a little skinny in week 2 and had to be supported with an extra layer of soil. Girl 2 was short, but very bushy initially, both vegged with little event, girl 1 quickly out-growing girl 2 in size, both started needing to be tied down in about week 3-4 and showing sex in week 3. Full flower started in week 4 I would say but throughout the plants have had roughly 12hrs on 12hrs off since day 1.

Now too my method

Cabinet 3ftx5ftx5.5ft temps hot,75-80, humidity 20-30 in light, 50-60 lights off.

I used The Heavy Feeding Calc on the Canna website from week 2-3 onward and dropped it down to light feeding in week 9 ready to flush in week 10 (Girl 1 had an early flush in week 8 to facilitate my cropping the top buds early). The Superthrive is added during weeks 2-3 untill flower starts (1-2 drops per 10 ltrs).

Watering is on average once every three days depending on how heavy my pots are, too heavy wait an extra day. Also my water has an air pump dropped into it for 24hrs before feeding untill I use it (seymore has shown me the oxygen way) I found this has a really positive effect on the plants.

Light 600w HPS 12 on 12 off all the way through, this balance is partly so I can have Light dependant clones in there as well flowering and partly a financial consideration.

All very simple and breaks all the rules of growing too, but it works for me.

was goofing around with my camera last night, and figured I would share some of the nicer porn shoots I got.

Other than piccies its been pretty uneventful this week, the girls have had a little moving about as we had 2 visits this last week that ment my cab had to be stripped out and the girls put into stealth-mode.

But thats done and we had no major breaks, drops or fuckups so far, gonna be flushing g1 from here on out, ready for her to be chopped as soon as she comes ready, and judging by the smell that wont be too long either.

G2 well she's still holding out on me, throwing white up everywhere still with no real sign of maturing, but equally no real weight gain either, so gonna leave her a couple more weeks If I have too.

Now for a cup of joe and on to rebuild my cab yet again.

Heh I have it down too pat now, so dosnt actually take too long. Its just once put back its never the same as before, and I have too spend 2 days ironing out little problems while it all settles back down again.
I swear the cab is as alive as the plants tbh.

Your plants look great. I haven't seen too many 12-12 Auto grows but they seem to be thriving. Have you cloned Autos before?

No but a buddy has messed with it, say it knocks em back by a week or two, how stable those clones were though god only knows.

So a week later and much hasn't happened.

I have harvested the final part of the first plant which in total has given me about 84 grams with the tops I took earlier, not bad considering I used no expensive budding neuts and 12/12 timings.



Plant number 2 is on the way too being done, she's on week 2 of just water rations and still has yet to be really using her own resources and still throwing white up everywhere, but she's is coming to an end.



What a difference a flash can make eh.
