Lighting A little more light

Understood. thank you for your help.

So what do you think all of the components would cost if I wanted to do a 2 board light instead of a 4 board light?

I would still have 2 boards that could be another light eventually? Or am I totally confused?
You're trying to fill w 4x1.5 space. 4 boards would be great in that space. You only need wire, the driver, some wagos, a computer cable to connect to the driver. Those QBs don't need heatsinks

These are 54w per board? If so 2 would get me what I need. Already have 600w in the tent. But with 4 boards and 2 drivers etc can build 2 lights. Right?

Did I tell you about the fixture I found?

With the quantum boards you could run all 4 and get rid of the 600 watt. The space is only 4x1.5 or is it larger? If it was me I would build one fixture depending on your grow style. Do you have a pic of your space? I was initially going to run the QB132s x 12 in a 4x4 but the cost is a bit more than I was willing to spend at the time lol.

I don't know much about Ecofarm but UV and IR aren't practical in terms of efficiency yet to there to be true streamlined diodes. Agromax makes UV t5 bulbs that would be my preference for UV distribution.

It's up to you whatever you choose though.

No this is supplemental. my tent is 4x4. I have a 600w Cree cob fixture with full spectrum blues reds and IR. It is a very good light even though it is a Chinese fixture. It is slightly rectangular and I want to turn it 90° so that it is lengthwise across the tent near the front opening and put the new light behind it (toward the back).

The EcoFarm is high quality stuff. Really well priced. I figure the IR and UV are just a little icing on the cake.

Yes Migro did the review and found out that the Argomax bulb which he just threw in the mix turned out to be stellar.

Funny thing is my neighbor was throwing a bunch of stuff out today and I took the good of his terrarium pulled the fixture out and now have a UB bulb hanging in my tent. I'm sure it is not very much UV. But it is more than I had a few hours ago and it was free.

Mars does not use top bin diodes right? Also not Samsung or Cree etc.

Mars Hydro TS600 led grow light uses upgraded Epistar LEDs, the one with Cree and Osram chips is also available here, but it may exceeds your budget. Consuming only 100W with 240 LEDS! It saves up to 50% energy than other led grow lights. Perfect for 1.5x1.5ft,Max coverage 2x2ft. Over 90% light energy can be absorbed by plants. 2 of Mars Hydro TS600 led grow light will be enough for your 1-1.5'x4' :jointman: :jointman: :jointman:

Btw, what strain are you going to grow?
