Hi guys I seem to have lost all my past posts so Im just going to start again from a blank slate
A while ago muddy got me into autos on another forum and after a while he introduced me to this one to be honest at first I was pretty skeptical about the auto's but after a couple of years playing around with them they have really got under my skin
Ive been running a photo period crop to test some leds for a company and Ive really missed playing with my little ones
over the last couple of years Ive been crossing them and now have two strains that I sell on my small grow guide site and have done quite well... at least im happy spreading some good genes all over the world its a nice buzz even if it isnt going to make me rich
no packaging, no hype just a bag of non feminized seeds at cheap prices
I'm not here to advertise I just want to get better at what I do so I wont put in any links or name the strains
So basically the strains I have at the mo are a white widow auto and a ak47 auto both are very standard and uniform although I seem to have bred them a bit on the small side
I used Mi5 as my auto gene and then crossed with some white widow photo period (unfemmed) and a Ak47 respectively and after about 7 crosses in now im happy with them
so what I will be trying to achieve in the next couple of months is
1. fem the original autos I have already created over the last couple of years Ive tried that once already and failed using 30ppm colloidal silver (I think I started them off to late with the spraying and she never hermied)
2.another unfemmed seed run as I have run out (bar my breeding stock) of the white widow auto
and longer term
3. using the ak47 cross.... cross with some unfeminised cheese no1 from Kaliman seeds and start the stabilization process to release a new cheese auto in about 15 months time all being well
lol I hope I haven't made all your heads hurt to much
so what I have at the moment is 30 cheese no 1 (unfemmed) which Im about to flip into flower and 10 of my ak47 autos (unfemmed)
In will only be fertilizing a couple of the cheese no 1 as its my first cross and only be trying to stick the auto gene in
i've found it takes 3 crosses to achieve that normally, and a few more to get some uniformity in the strain
I haven't done much reading on breeding its just what I have found from my own stumbling amateur attempts so if im wrong let me know
I will also be trying to hermie a single auto (30ppm colloidal silver) and if successful fertilize the rest of the female autos in the room if that doesn't work then I will just do another straight seed run from the pollen I have left from fertilizing the Kaliman's cheese no 1
Any tips on trying to hermie one of my auto females will be very much apreciated
