Hi! Introduced myself a couple of weeks ago while waiting for my seeds and although I did promise to start a Journal when I got them, that's been put on hold because I suck at Math and well, school comes first. What hasn't been put on hold is the "grow". That being said, due to my lack of Journal, I have a lack of feedback, so I now have a couple of questions...

First off, I used the paper towel/sandwich container method, and even with a temp issue in the first 24hrs, I've had success in this first part. All my seeds have popped. Two of my seed's however, have a "tail" far longer than the others [about an inch]. The first seems fine, but the second of them is white except for right near the "shell" of the seed, where its brown for about a cm. Is this bad?

Secondly, since all popped, I decided to get my "soil" [ProMix] in the pots I'm working with, and I think its about time to put the lil' buggers in their new homes. The only problem is, although the soil seemed moist when I loaded it, it seems a bit dry on top now. Should I water BEFORE putting the lil' seed sprouts in, or leave it dry? Maybe just spritz it a little with a spray bottle?

Also...I just noticed tonight that the towels in each container have 2 to 5 little pink dots on them that weren't there before. Now, I've never heard of bright pink mold, but is this something I should concern myself with?

Any help is much appreciated, so thank you in advance!

Water your pots completely from top to bottom then put your seeds in but be carefull not to break that tap root off .Use a pencil and poke a whole about 3/8ths deeper than the lentgh of the seed and root.Put seed in whole so the seed itself is about 3//8ths below the soil and then water lightly to settle the soil around the seed.

school comes first
I assume that's an Americanism and you mean Colllege/University :peace: Hazy

Thank you namvet25, watered and planted.

Also...yes, Im an American college student in her mid 20's working towards a second degree, this time in Environmental Science/Sustainability. To avoid further confusion, I'll make it a point not to mention school in future posts.

GoidianGanja - I understand that I am very new here, but I feel as if I am well within my newbie rights when I say that if you're going to tell someone they sound like a "schoolkid", you should do so in a way that doesn't make yourself sound like one as well.

:smokebuds::DIgnore that idiot, nice comeback.I think the guy smoked some bad pot and it fried his brain.Just holler if you have any more questions.

yeah, we promote a good vibe here... kudos for learning the info you need here and for your polite, but well spoken comeback. :smokeit:

GoidianGanja,

Welcome to the site ezyahs, I'm also a college student who sucks at math so I feel your pain. Luckily you don't have to be exceptional at mathematics to grow healthy plants :smoke:

You've come to the right place for help!!

Make sure your soil is nice and wet before you plop the babys in, then after their in just keep misting the soil to keep it moist. Make sure its ph balanced water also! Don't want to start regular watering until they pop out the soil so you don't move the seeds that are under soil by accident. I'm not sure what the pink dots are.

Sound like your off to a good start! Keep on truckin!!
Good luck and good vibes!:wiz::bong:
