Hi all, been lurking and reading lots of post from you guys for awhile now and finally joined with a few questions for all...

Little info to start anyway about myself, im from london, and few years back done a inside grow with some enviro lights which left me quite disheartened but been a big smoker for the past fifteen years daily lol so this year I heard about autos as i was planning on just doing little outside grow but after reading alot about these I got afew and put them under my old reptile light with a added cfl and minus few ph prbs all look good but I've now got the bug to give it a proper go at the end of the summer once my autos I have have been harvested so im planning on getting the secret jar in ds 60 and am not sure what lights to go with as previously using my enviro lights I ended up with really open and airey buds and not like the typical nice cheeses I can get around here and it disappointed me as at best it turned out average after drying and had very little smell, I know I could of cured to make it better but it just wasn't all that and made me quit growing at the time so i dont want this to happen this time round, so what equipment would you guys suggest and could you recommend any decent websites to order it from?

I've been thinking about leds but I can't seem to find anywhere and im really not sure what im looking for for the size area i m going to be using, I've read about the black star but obviously id need a duel spectrum then as i want to veg and fruit in the tent and my home is pretty chilly so i may need to add a heater, on the other hand I don't mind using a hps light etc as the heat isn't a problem and i was planning on using a single rhino fan bringing air in.

So really I guess im going to need the tent, one decent light and a single fan, and id like some advice on how to grow really dense buds or that nice type of fluffy lol im sure u guys know what i mean, just not that airey non smelling crap I grew before lol.

Safe richirich, I'm pretty new to the game myself (8 months)and I can say my best decision was to fork out for some LEDs,it's a world on to itself, and you would only need the flowering version of the blackstar so I gather. I use Grownorthern lights but I'm setting up another room soon and the lights Reds lookin at are Nice with a capital N.

you can't beat a hps for dense nugs you can use it in veg as well, the secret jardin (dr range) is considered the best money can buy
as ds 60 id be looking at a 250w hps or120w ufo but really id go a touch bigger do it once and do it right
example
a dr90 with a 400w hps or a 180w black star
or a dr120 with 600w hps both system you could net up 400-600g in serious bud after a few grows and a decent hood and fan

^^^ red is spot on but if u do go the hid route dont say heat is not a prob until you are set up and growing i only run 250 watts in cool tubes in a little over 2ftx2ft and on days like today in london it gets pritty hot in there

Hi guys and thank you everyone for the replies, yea think I'll be going the led route then by the ssounds of it, and that was meant to say help not help from London lol this dam auto correct, and it dont hel smoking as i type haha.

Im going to check out the above websites now about those leds so thanx again, don't have a pen but i do have a ph meter from good old b and q's lol and it seems ok so far as i was having quite high readings but now got it under control hopefully.

Just checked out the link for the led lights but i was wondering if im better of going with a black star I don't mind paying the money as i feel I scimped last time and that's what screwed me in the end so id be happy getting the black star 180 or 240, where do you uk guys ge ur led's from ad I usually shop at a local growell but they don't have leds.

Im planning on going real organic as i personally don't want to use any liquid chemical feed, so im using bat guano and will be using molasses, my started soil was a basic mp compost then mixed with grit sand, perlite and volcanic dust which I use on my fruit and veg to great results so fingers crossed, I also add mycorrghizal fungus for roots and I've been debating something else as well actually u maybe able to help with, I keep ducks in the garden and was wondering about using there pond water which previously I've used on my fruit and veg at early stages and it seems to have gave them a boost?
