I cannot argue the fact that this LED may be an excellent performing light as I have seen a few very good responses from LED in the last year, but believing the all that advertising is extremely hard to swallow. It’s extremely difficult to believe that there are zero imported components in this light. The very best electronics are made and designed in Japan and even most, if not all Japanese companies now have their components made in China. The very best drivers were designed and built in Japan such as Bridgelux and Epistar but now have factories in China. Please don’t get me wrong and burn down my grow room, but you can’t believe everything you read.

Switching off some LED leads and turning others on is a gimmick and wastes space and components that can be used to increase the lights overall production. Some companies say they use UVA LEDs and there is no (zero) use by the plant for that as well as orange or greens. Red, blue and IR are needed for growth and blooming. UVB may increase certain values. Understanding that all plants are subjected to UVB in nature dispels the old adage that UVB is going to kill your plant but at the same time, most of these new breeds are not subjected to UVB and like reptiles breed without UVB (which is an absolute necessary for most reptiles) it may not benefit these new strains or even harm them. Lab work is needed to see if it will help flowering after generations of breeding without its use.

The LED I’m working with has blown my mind so I am all pro LED!!! But I also believe that you can get the same results with way less money. The 300wt LED I’m using produces about 25% of the heat that my 1000wt MH/HPS does but produces more LUX and much happier plants, at least so far. It also covers a larger area than the 1000wt HID. I can’t imagine using a 800wt LED without light movers.

It sounds like you really know what you are doing in your grow room so this is just food for thought J

looking good rhapsody.

im interested in how the dinafem fruit auto turns out.

i have a freebie seed from attitude -- thinking about putting her next for my next grow.

that wont be for awhile tho.. but nonetheless.

the girls are looking beautiful -- are they all about the same age?

Thanks for the post! Well to answer your question Ive emailed there owner probably over a dozen times and he actually emails back if you ever feel like asking him a question and he does say its 95% American Components from American LED companies and 5% German stuff.

I cant verify that but the 1st wave of LEDs that came out about 6-8 years ago were all Chinese made equipment and they actually used Traffic light LEDs thinking they would grow. Had amazing claims and only had blue and red colors. Was a total fail and thats why the LED market today is filled with such disdain against them that exists to this day. 99% of any Hydro shop you go to wont even carry them at least in the States.

I for one dont like comparing LEDs to what the equal HID lighting is. I think thats poor to do that since there are so many other factors in a persons grow. That being said I would say this is more like a 750w HPS. I am talking about my Solarstorm LED. I also have 1 of there Solarflare.

I am also most impressed that California Lightworks is pushing there LEDs at over 4 watts a piece. Everyone else is about 50%. If it has 3 watt LED drivers you can almost bet its 1.5 watts running.

I love Japanese electronics and actually drive a Korean Car I just got but there are some things Americans excell at. Would you buy one of Chinas new home grown Microprocessors for a computer or do you want a Intel?

I do think as well that they can build stuff. Look at Apple's products 100% made in China they make nothing in the US. Has alot to do with there supply chain though and Apples muscle at getting steep discounts etc but still the Chinese are very capable of making something. It could be there locked away at FoxxConn for 3 years sleep eat shower where they work and slave 60-80 hours a week on a assembly line with the threat of punishment..but thats another topic lol :).

As far as heat my tent would be over 120 degrees without cooling. Thats what happens when you run LEDs at 4 watts pulling 690 watts and 5 amps of power. Simple physics. Energy moved through a semiconductor will produce heat. More energy more heat.

I have that undercontrol though with fans. No fans my plants would be toast.

Also I looked at most of the other LEDs when I bought this. What compelled me was there half off if I signed up for there growers program. I got the light half off. Then when I compared it to others well it was a steal but the other annoying thing is nearly all the LEDs look the same.

I recently discovered another LED light company that uses the EXACT same design down to the plug as Advanced LED which makes alot of bold claims. Yet another scam and there well regarded. Well not by myself anymore.

Whats up peeps. Heres some bud porn! Its my other grow I got going on. Not Autos but still cannabis and fine cannabis at that. Reserva Privada OG Kush #18. Top Shelf Stuff.

6th week of flowering now. I have 2-3 more weeks depending. This weekend or middle of next week will be the last nutes and supplements. Buds are getting big as well now. The leaves are white all over as well.

So far this has been a easy grow. Never really any problems. The stretch kinda bothered me but like I said before thats charateristic of OG Kush and its filling in nicely. OG Kush #18 is plant number 18 of the original OG Kush line up. Its not just st8 OG Kush as they found it to be a higher yielder...even that OG Kush is not known to be a high yielder plant but a very potent high.

The smell is not bad either. Carbon filter more then handles anything that is thrown at. If your wondering if the bud is airy not at all...nice solid nuggets so far. Enjoy the bud porn!
