• Pyramid Seeds — Auto Fresh Candy
• Soil: 2/1 FF Happy Frog, Perlite
• Sprouted in final 3.5 gal. pot 4/28 —Currently 61 days
• 18/6 light schedule
• 2 Modified 100 watt LED bulbs, 1 60 watt with globe on, daylight

Began feeding half nutes at week 4, now also doing half bloom — Miracle Grow Organic lines

Watering half gallon once a week (with nutes)

The plant looks healthy, strong, pliable leaves. Nice color. But, I’m looking at other grow diaries for this strain and feel like I should already have buds. Any thoughts? I’m in no rush and am totally fine just waiting it out. But this being my first grow I figured I might want to ask. But if anyone spots a problem I want to correct it as quick as I can.

Should I go 12/12 for a day or two to try and initiate flowering and then go back to 18/6? That’s the only thought I had.

I would definitely try to go 12/12 cycles for a week to see if that starts to kick them over. I also dont want to be discouraging, but one of my first trials of growing did this exact same thing. I switched light cycles, tried PK boosters, anything I could to get them to start flowering. At around day 80 I finally gave up. I just blamed it on the genetics of the seeds and moved on with my life.

12/12 and chill....Your plant is very very beautiful, do not panic or you may accidently kill her, just chill and switch to 12/12 and in a week she WILL FLOWER. The plant you have is great but some auto strains and farms are better than others. Mephisto is generally popular and it can be that a very small percentage of auto seeds from certain species will not be auto and that is simply just rare bad luck or a blessing in disguise. There is a final scenario which is debatable and that is the existence of semi autos, a seasoned auto expert here helped me with a similar problem seven months and no flowering on my autos switched to twelve twelve and bingo cola city erupted....you can see my grow here https://www.autoflower.org/threads/tent-vs-outdoor-lsd-auto.77018/post-2298752

This is all awesome info! Will I need to stay on 12/12 or should I return to 18/6 after the buds start to form? Also, should I be feeding veg nutes from here out or just boost my bloom nutes?

It'll be interesting — I gave a friend of mine a seed from the same pack. His leaves are a bit bigger and overall his plant looks a little different. It'll be interesting to see if his performs differently. I am actually excited to grow some Mephisto next — have some skywalker and sour stomper waiting as well as royal dwarf.

The reason the plants seem slower is because they are slower due to limited light. Cannabis plants need at least 24 DLI (day light integral) each day. When they get less than that their clock is not running to flower time as fast. Your plants look good and healthy. Just keep doing what your are doing. Do not compare your plants to anyone else's plants. Just grow what is in front of you!

So would you advise against the 12/12 plan? There's so many differing opinions on light schedules. 18/6 seemed to be the most common. If I switch to 12/12 now will I risk impacting overall yield in the end because I didn't let it get all the veg thats in its dna?

With the lamps you are running I would go to 20/4 they need more light not less. do not go to 24/0. There are many reasons not to run 24/0 even though some peeps do it. I have grown auto test crops at 24/0, 20/4 and 18/6. The 24/0 had a big yield with poor quality, the 20/4 had fairly big yield and a little better quality and the 18/6 was by far the best quality but a little less yield. I grow autos at 18/6. I have 1200 actual at the wall watts for 24 square feet. I run my lights at about 700 watts which provides 60 DLI every day.

It is so bright in there. You cannot see the 2 - AgroMax UVA plus 48 t5 lamps or the AgroMax Pure UV 48 t5 lamp. I only run them periodically during the run.

In case anyone is wondering this is where I'm at. I decided to go 20/4 but ran into a few hiccups — we were showing our house to be sold and had to move the plants to a dark room a few times and had issues with my timer. But, all that's smoothed out and she's about two days in to the new light schedule. Still feeding half bloom nutes and half veg nutes. Thoughts?

The plant looks healthy. I am concerned she is not showing sex with that lusious growth. my original diagnosis may be wrong and this plant may not be an auto. The breeder Pyramid has both a Fresh Candy and a Fresh Candy Auto?

The next step is to try 12/12 and see if she will flower. You will need a light proof place to do this as even the smallest amount of light during the dark time will cause flowering problems.
