I'm going to do a closet grow, but I don't need to keep keep the closet door closed. The very most I will grow at one time is six plants, because 6 plants is the legal limit (YAY Alaska!). I do have the option of coming out of the closet and into the room. The biggest selling points of the closet are the clothes hanging rod (for hanging the light(s)) and the ease of making reflecting walls. I just have to be very careful about the floor (a subject for another thread), since I rent.

My first grow will probably just be 3 plants, 1 or 2 will be a super-fast strain (I have no weed until they produce), the third will be nurtured. (choice of seeds will be yet another thread). All will be autoflower, in soil, in probably 3 gallon pots unless someone convinces me to go with 5 gallon, naturally vertical, not trained.

Eventually, I want to have 6 plants going at all times. As I learn more, I'll get into SOG and/or SCROG, but for now I want to keep things as simple as possible. I'm following WB's advice: https://www.autoflower.org/f44/new-growers-guide-grow-@-lowes-[easy-dirt-guide-]-16495.html regarding the soil.

So of those light options mentioned, which would make more sense for me? The 600W standard, or the 300W reflector?

Hmmm...I see the 450W Mars Hydro Reflector is just within my reach. At 3' X 1' (95cm X 33cm) it's a comfy fit for a closet. That's a possibility too.

Is it worth looking at Galaxyhydro? I could get 2 300W lights if I went with them.

EDIT:
I'm buying from Amazon because I have no money, but I do have credit with Amazon. I see that before the edit I was comparing apples to oranges. Reflector vs Standard(?). Amazon doesn't seem to have the standard 300W (or I'd be considering two of those) and the 600W Reflector is out of my price range.
