hi guys looking for some info on 5500k cfls, do they work as good as 6500k? i looked at the wave length chart and i saw that 5500k is above 6500k so that means it has more red in it right? will it be ok to use 5500k to start with then switch to 2700k for flowering?

im doing a small grow 2 plants 4 at the most my space is 3x3x4 for this grow ill have 3 total lights all 125w so 375w all together, i dont know if that info helps answering my question but i figure it wouldnt hurt.

or would i be better off getting 2 200w dual spectrum lights and running them the whole time? thinking about feliz brand cfl.

Hi IDS, dual spec feliz would be better. Or a mix of 2700k and 6500k. I am looking at a feliz myself.

:peace:

Mine are hydro farm 6400 k says full spectrum on it but lol and most CFL guys will tell you they like the blue better for a hole grow.100 watts per plant is good..I have 2 200 watters in my space and I use them for veg and sometimes the start of bloom and they work great.:stylez rasta smoke:smaller bulbs longer life Hop digity

nice thanks guys i think ima go with 2, 200w or 3, 125w duel spec. i get more light coverage with 3 but its 25 less watts do you guys think that will matter? if you say 100w per plant that means with 3, 125w-ers i can only do 3 at the most but if i get the 2, 200w-ers i can do up to 4, im i figuring this correctly?

I am running mixed of 5,400K and 3,000K with great results. I chose the 5,400K over the 6,500K because the color is closer to a MH, I run this set up for the full grow, I chose the 3,000K cuz they were half the price of the 2,700K.
