Hello everyone,

Well finally getting closer to starting my 1st run, and will be doing Mephisto autos (also got 3, Bruce Banner auto fem seeds as well not sure the breeder though, but a Seedsman sticker was in the package?). I saw a video of a single tent, 4x4, perpetual grow. Basically start 2-3 in the middle, and then start 2-3 more about a month later, and so on. Here is the video I saw.

His thought is you'll get more this way in the long run, vs say filling the tent

"MY thought" of doing it this way was basically to give myself a chance at basically learning everything, BUT also have a "2nd chance" the following month to possibly say "cut back on nutes this round, because at this stage in 1st run, last month the PPM's at this stage were to high etc." Basically like a mulligan a month later if needed or small tweaks....that's my thoughts on it at least. Also plan on running the same strain 1st run, a month later a different Mephisto, so at least they are the same when feeding for a bit more consistency.

Or should just try and fill the tent with like 6-7 gallon pots at once? I realize the perpetual will be waaay more work but that excites me.

Very interested to hear all thoughts on the matter.

I would think it depends on how much you consume, methods, and where you live. Will it be a larger yield versus just filling the tent? Might just work out to be the same or inconsequential how you choose to do it.

i cant stand having an empty tent so if i can get something in before they finish i will as you can see some are close to finshing the 3 solos and cola bottle and i have 2 that are under 4 weeks and i will also be filling up as the solos come out

Hiya heres where I am with my perpetual attempt

Also a 4x4 but it will fill all the same. I'm aiming to be harvesting a plant or 3 every few weeks. This has taken a few months and more than a few culled plants along the way while I ironed out snags but I'm happy with where I am now. You definitely gain an advantage with a staggered grow, as you say it does offer opportunities to adjust stuff. Hope that's helpful and all the best with yours:thumbsup:

A perpetual grow is not a very good idea for a home grower. Too much electricity.
Try scrog or sog techniques to achieve the most from 2 (maximum) continuous grows.
Also you can utilize the autos' flowering time to veg some photos and/or the flowering of photos to veg some autos.
Well it depends how much you consume, but 4-5 months are sufficient for a good quantity.
Plus you need time to live and enjoy your crop, you cannot be a slave to your plants. If you grow you are a slave to them and you need to devote to them till harvest.

perp for the win! :yay: and, jus fer the record -> if u luv what u do, u'll never work a day in ur life ;) :headbang: ppp

Depends what your goal is.

Easy call for me.. perpetual.. plants constantly sprouting means plants constantly coming down at the other end means unless you smoke huge amounts of bud you should never run out of weed.. and never running out is where I need to be.

4x4 tent with 6/7 gallon pots.. realistically your gonna get 4 in.. start number 2 when number 1 gets to about day 17.. start number 3 when number 2 gets to day 17 etc.. that should keep them 20 days apart.. plan being that a new sprout goes in as the oldest plant hits day 80.. approximately.. with 3 plants in the middle at 20/40/60 days old. So you harvest a plant every 20 days and in those pots it should be a big plant every 21 days.

I did this for almost a year but in a 80cm X 80cm tent using 3L airpots and it worked a treat.

Good luck with whatever you do brother
